Background / History

Medea was the princess of Colchis and a genius of Age of Gods Magecraft. She betrayed her father, homeland, and brother to help Jason obtain the Golden Fleece, only for Jason to abandon her for Glauce, the princess of Corinth. Her revenge killed Glauce, Corinth's king, and the two children she shared with Jason; the accumulated betrayal and loss earned her the title “Witch of Betrayal.” 27

Yu Xian selected Medea's Servant Contract from a Golden Skill Chest despite a system warning that she could retaliate against him. She was summoned through a golden magic circle three hundred meters beneath the ocean, formally acknowledging him as her Master. In this world, her contract was sustained by Yu Xian's mental power; she also discovered that several of her strongest abilities had been sealed. 23 24

Initially skeptical of Yu Xian's stated ambition to “slack off,” Medea nevertheless joined Y Squad and became responsible for magecraft, transport, combat support, paperwork, and cooking. Yu Xian assigned her public rescue work as the illusionary “Winter Lord,” partly to recruit Skye and partly to give Medea a meaningful role within the group. 25 26 29

After witnessing Yu Xian's battle with Hulk, Medea feared that his growing strength would make her unnecessary and lead to her abandonment. Yu Xian confronted that fear directly, rejecting their master-servant framing and promising that she was his partner rather than a disposable tool. Medea became a core asset in the Seven Luminaries' growth, maintaining barriers during Yu Xian's breakthroughs, activating the New Element Reactor, and conducting a Golden Apple ritual during the creation of the Seven Luminaries Heavenly Palace. 56 90 91

When Yu Xian fought Hela, Medea sensed his energy depletion through their contract and teleported to his side without hesitation. She supplied him with an energy potion and delayed Hela with binding formations, curses, and magecraft firepower. 121

Following Hela's defeat, Medea became Hela's primary jailer.
