Hu Yang suddenly realized that Cross's Dragonite and Clefable seemed to like him very much.

When they stood behind Cross and looked over at him longingly, Hu Yang had no way to ignore those two gazes. He felt around in his pocket, then took out several Pokéblocks from his bag, placed them in his palm, and held them out.

He did not have any gifts to give them anyway, so a few Pokéblocks would have to do for now!

The Pokémon crowded closer. Dragonite lowered its head and gently took the Pokéblocks with its soft mouth. Its warm breath brushed against Hu Yang's palm, making it a little itchy.

Clefable seemed a little shy. It slowly walked forward and took one from Hu Yang's hand.

Noivern, Blaziken, and the others each got one as well.

"Go on, eat!" Hu Yang said with a smile as he looked at this group of someone else's Pokémon.

He did not think much of it, assuming it was simply because being the Rainbow Hero gave him an extra affinity for wild Pokémon.

"They really like you!" Cross said with a smile when he saw that.

Hu Yang reached out and patted Dragonite.

Cross's Dragonite had a very gentle personality. It was unlike Lance's or Iris's Dragonite, and was instead quite similar to Piplup's affectionate nature.

Speaking of Piplup, Hu Yang could not help but think that if Piplup were here and saw him petting someone else's Dragonite, it would probably puff up its cheeks and go, "Piplu, Piplu!"

Thinking that, Hu Yang stopped while he was ahead and withdrew the hand resting on Dragonite's head.

Dragonite was a little disappointed, but remembering what its Trainer had told them last night, it dejectedly returned to Cross's side.
