A Brief Respite

After the great battle ended, the first thing to do was restore the strength of both sides who had fought so fiercely.

Both Reshiram and Kyurem had been injured. Hu Yang planned to stay overnight in the Giant Chasm to rest and treat them.

Kyurem dispelled the icy arena surrounding them, restoring the area to its original state. It also controlled the Ice-type energy in the air so the place would not become too cold.

The Giant Chasm was located on the bottom floor of an abandoned factory, and the surroundings were extremely dark.

Cross took out a plastic Jigglypuff and pressed a switch. The "Jigglypuff" automatically floated above everyone's heads, transforming into a miniature sun that brightly illuminated every dark corner. For a moment, Kyurem's home looked as bright as day.

The light shining on them even carried a sense of warmth.

Hu Yang was somewhat surprised by the sight and turned to look at Cross.

Noticing his gaze, Cross immediately grinned and explained, "It's a miniature artificial sun. It can emit light and heat, and it's generally used in dark places like underground areas and indoor spaces in the future."

"Oh." Hu Yang nodded without asking further questions. Instead, he took out all the Poké Balls on him. "Everyone, come on out!"

As beams of white light flashed, Cramorant, Roserade, Haxorus, Gardevoir, Charizard, and the other Pokémon appeared.

Seeing this, Cross released all of his own Pokémon as well, and everyone worked together to set up a temporary campsite nearby.

Roserade and Gardevoir were asking Gengar for ingredients as they began preparing the food and desserts they would eat later.

Charizard stood nearby, bored out of its mind as it breathed flames at Haxorus. Haxorus merely glanced at Charizard, then silently turned its head away.
