After the Demon Race was established, Qing Xuan and Qing Yi took Kong Xuan back to the Purple Star.
Kong Xuan had not inherited Qing Xuan's or Qing Yi's Great Dao, but with Qing Xuan's understanding of the Great Dao and her own aptitude,
she had now reached the late Taiyi Realm.
That day, Kong Xuan was practicing the Five-Colored Divine Light beside the Lotus Pond.
The Pure World White Lotus in the pond slowly turned at her will.
The clear light on its petals had barely touched the five-colored Dao resonance when the great array outside the Purple Star stirred.
She looked up, recognized the two figures beyond the array, withdrew her divine light, and hurried to Qing Xuan and Qing Yi's side.
"Master, Senior Di Jun and Senior Taiyi are here."
Qing Xuan had sensed their auras too.
Back at Phoenix Perch Mountain, Taiyi had said he would visit the Purple Star.
But after the affair with Cangze, Di Jun had come along as well. Surely this was more than a friendly visit.
Qing Xuan raised a hand and opened the great array outside the Purple Star.
Starlight across the sky parted to either side.
Di Jun and Taiyi both subdued their Dao manifestations and walked out of the depths of the Cosmic Star Sea.
"Fellow Daoist Qing Xuan, Fellow Daoist Qing Yi."
Di Jun greeted them with a smile. "It's taken us until now to visit after parting at Phoenix Perch Mountain. We're rather late."
"The Demon Race has only just been founded, and you have countless matters to attend to. It's good of you both to come at all."
Qing Xuan returned the greeting and welcomed them onto the Purple Star.
They sat beside the Lotus Pond.
Taiyi swept his gaze over their surroundings.
