"I'm never deciphering that damned Ancient Script again. It's disgusting."

Werther snatched up the rubbing of the Road Poneglyph and tore it to shreds.

Things had not gone as he had expected. He had thought deciphering the Ancient Script would take a day or two at most, but he had overestimated himself. It had taken him four whole days.

The Road Poneglyph contained numerous coordinates and precise locations, which made it especially difficult to decipher.

Remembering how Robin had read Poneglyphs on sight in the anime in his previous life, Werther could not help admiring her. How had she done it?

Clearly, he had little talent for this. Robin's reading Speed was extraordinary. If everyone on Ohara could read with her Speed, the island would never have been destroyed. Its scholars could have traveled the world, found Poneglyphs, and recorded their contents. Why keep one in the Tree of Knowledge and study it every day?

Werther picked up a small slip of paper from the table, left the room, and soon found Jack.

"I've deciphered it. Give this to Kaido, and remind him not to forget what he promised me."

Jack took the slip of paper and examined it closely.

"Is this... a set of coordinates?"

Jack had spent years at sea. He was no Navigator and could not tell where the coordinates pointed, but he recognized them for what they were.

"Yes. What did you think a Road Poneglyph was? Four Road Poneglyphs, four sets of coordinates. Connect them, and the point where the four lines cross is Laugh Tale."

Jack nodded. He plainly knew that already. He was merely surprised that so much Ancient Script had yielded such a short answer.

"I'll pass your message on to our boss. As for Aokiji, the boss has already contacted me.
