Werther glanced around. Sure enough, every customer was eating the same kind of ramen.

"What a strange place. They only serve one dish? I'll try a bowl."

Cook's smile grew even sweeter.

"Of course. Please wait a moment."

With that, Cook headed into the kitchen.

The restaurant wasn't particularly large and had only a dozen or so customers, but strangely enough, it didn't have a single waiter.

"Why do I always run into strange situations? Was I born with an aura that drains my luck?"

Werther looked toward the kitchen with interest. He had already sensed something unusual there.

Before long, Cook, with her peculiar charm, emerged from the kitchen and clumsily set a bowl of noodles in front of him.

Cook looked about thirty. At first glance, her features seemed ordinary, yet the longer he looked, the prettier she became.

Werther picked up his chopsticks and tasted the ramen.

Delicious. Incredibly delicious. Of all the food he'd eaten, this ramen ranked among the best.

It didn't take him long to finish the bowl.

"Another bowl."

At his request, Cook headed back to the kitchen.

Soon, another steaming bowl of ramen appeared before him.

"Another bowl."

"Another bowl..."

After more than a dozen bowls, Werther leaned back in his chair, content. With his appetite, that much ramen was hardly anything.

Cook, standing before him, was still smiling, but her smile was no longer as natural as before. It looked a little stiff.

"Let's settle the bill. How much?"

Cook stared blankly at the stacks of bowls on his table.

"Well... ten million Beli should do."

Werther, who had been drinking water, nearly spat it all out.

That was absurdly expensive. He wasn't short of money, and the ramen was delicious, but there was no way it should cost that much.
