A day later, Werther finally arrived at Water 7. He had taken his time; at full speed, the trip would have taken only half a day.

Once ashore on the Island, Werther gave Rob Lucci one of Ferdinand's Den Den Mushi. Then, when no one was looking, he slipped Kalifa a separate one.

Kalifa clearly understood what Werther meant. She said nothing, merely smoothed her hair, and the two groups parted ways.

"Hey, Werther, where are we going? Into Water 7? I've wanted to come here for ages." Anita had recovered her spirits and was no longer listless.

Werther was curious about the girl's powers of recovery. He had lost count of how many times she had been scared half to death since boarding his ship, yet by the next day, she was always back to normal.

"We're going into Water 7, but first we need to wait for some people. I think they'll be here soon. If you two don't want to wait, you can go look around."

Anita perked up at the prospect of roaming freely, but she seemed afraid to wander around an unfamiliar Island alone. She decided to ask Tuski to go with her.

But Tuski was another matter entirely.

These days, Tuski lay down whenever he could, sat when he couldn't lie down, and stood only when he had no other choice. In short, he was incredibly lazy. He waved a paw to say he wasn't going.

Anita knew Werther would never let her go ashore on the Island alone. She might have seemed free, but she was still being held captive.

So she tried coaxing Tuski, but he was used to her by now and simply played dead.

When Anita realized she couldn't budge Tuski, she turned her attention to Werther.
