Background / History

Ferdinand and his younger sister Catarina were exiled from Mary Geoise as children. Though no longer living as Celestial Dragons, their former status continues to grant them unusual access and trust within the World Government. Ferdinand later became Tutu Island’s manager, building an auction business and an underworld trade network. 27

Following Werther’s killing of Gat, Ferdinand arranged the dockside siege against him to satisfy Gat’s associates. He later contacted Werther to apologize, offer compensation, and recruit him against Garde, Gat’s powerful and unstable adopted brother. 26

Ferdinand, Werther, and Catarina formed a cautious alliance: Werther would provide combat support, while Ferdinand would supply rare resources, purchasing channels, and classified intelligence. Ferdinand also replaced the Furious Lion Pirates in his underworld operations by arranging an exclusive partnership with Donquixote Doflamingo. 26 27
