"Hmm? Did something happen over there?" Seated on a chair he had dug out of the Ruins, Loa looked toward the town and blinked.
That Roar had echoed across the entire island, so of course he had heard it. But with a veteran like Vice Admiral Momonga holding the line over there, Loa was in no hurry to investigate. Besides, two things in his hands had caught his attention.
One was a crystal that pulsed with red light. Its color was as rich as blood, yet it was crystal clear. Just looking at it, he could almost smell the sharp tang of blood.
The other was a blue-white crystal. Unlike the red one, it did not flash, but glowed softly with Stillness. Against his skin, it produced a faint tingling sensation.
The parchment in the box told Loa that these were the Source of Life and the Lightning Crystal, the Bibi Family's most important inheritance.
The Bibi Family should have been in its fifteenth generation by now. Yet the final entry on the parchment had been left by its eleventh head.
