Loa was smiling, and his voice was gentle. But his words sent a chill straight through De Ye.
"You—" De Ye was about to say something when cold surged from Loa and raced over his body. He had only time to widen his eyes before what remained of him froze into a massive block of ice.
Thud!
The block lost its momentum and dropped to the ground. But Loa's ice was even harder than Kuzan's. A fall from that height did not chip off so much as a sliver.
"You should be glad I found that box. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind putting you through the ten great tortures of the Qing dynasty." Loa looked down at the ice, his voice colder than frost. "But I don't have time to interrogate you now. Stay put."
With that, Loa spread his hands, and Magic Power poured out of him in a torrent.
Crack, crack!
With a crisp freezing sound, two enormous Ice Walls rose from the ground. Once they stood a full ten meters tall and wide, Loa slammed his hands together and barked, "Close!"
Boom!
The two Ice Walls plowed across the ground like giant beasts, crushing De Ye between them and forming an iceberg around him.
Only then did Loa stop pouring in Magic Power and turn away.
Whatever tricks De Ye had, he could not escape those two layers of protection.
At the ruins of the town, the battle had grown fierce.
Fierce on only one side, that was.
One look at the giant's utter ease made it clear he had yet to use his full strength.
And that was the truth. He casually scooped up clumps of earth and stone as large as houses and hurled them at Momonga and the others. Yet nothing in his movements or
