The shout from the distance snapped Loa back to his senses. Before he could reach the Coast, his aide came running up. Seeing him covered in blood and black ash, Loa reined in his killing intent and asked, "What's got you so worked up?"
"Good news!" his aide said excitedly. "Vice Admiral Loa, Lord Zephyr is still alive!"

Something inside Loa suddenly seemed to break. An indescribable relief swept through him, sending a shiver through his whole body as though he had just eaten Ice Cream.
He appeared beside his aide in an instant and gripped his shoulders. "What did you say?! You're not lying to me, are you? Teacher Zephyr is alive!"
"Hiss!"
His aide felt Loa's grip nearly crush his bones, but he was just as excited. He nodded hard. "Yes! His injuries are severe, but none of them are fatal! Give him some time to rest, and Lord Zephyr will recover!"
"Whew! Thank goodness!"
Loa broke into a broad smile and released his aide.
