"That move won't work on me!"
Kaido roared and smashed the Ice Ball rising around him. But the moment it delayed him was enough. Loa had already vanished.
When he reappeared, he was right beside Kaido.
"I know."
Thud!
Loa stamped hard on the ground and softly spoke the spell's name.
"Ice Carpet!"
The blocks of ice, still slightly transparent, grew visibly denser as Loa cast the spell. Their surfaces became impossibly slick. Grains of yellow sand struck the slope and, before they could freeze, rolled across it without stopping!
Caught off guard, Kaido's foot slipped and he toppled backward. Loa seized the opening, clasped his hands together, and slammed them down toward Kaido's chest.
Boom!
The iron-hard ice shattered beneath their tremendous strength. Kaido crashed down, leaving a bowl-shaped crater in the ground. Spiderweb cracks spread throughout it, and the crater itself was over a hundred meters across!
Even so, Kaido was unhurt!
Lying at the bottom, he grinned and swung an elbow at Loa as he came after him. Loa faced him without fear and drove a flying knee straight into the blow.
Smack!
The earth trembled again from their clash. Cracks like the pattern on a turtle shell crisscrossed the battlefield, making it look like hell. Once this battle ended, regardless of who won, this desert would exist only in people's memories.
In its place would be a rocky expanse resembling karst terrain!
The rolling sands could not survive a battlefield like this. The shockwaves spilling from their blows stripped away the thick layers of sand, exposing rock that had lain buried for thousands, perhaps tens of thousands, of years!
Aokiji and Kizaru watched the ever-growing crater, their mouths twitching. What could they even say? Had two people fighting hand to hand really caused all this? How
