This chapter's a little late. I didn't start writing until I got home from lunch with a client.
Aside from its strict strength requirements, the Elite Camp's rules were actually quite relaxed—far more so than the Recruit Camp's.
For one thing, there was no need to assemble for training every morning. It was wonderfully laid-back. They could train if they wanted or go out and have fun if they didn't; Zephyr wouldn't mind.
Every so often, Zephyr gathered everyone for a test to assess how much progress the Elite Camp members had made. The rest of the time was theirs to arrange as they pleased.
The Elite Camp members also had people to take care of their food, clothing, and other daily needs. All they had to do was focus on training.
The only problem was the food. The cooks here made nothing but nutritious, energy-rich medicinal meals. As for the taste... the fact that Arudo kept going to the Recruit Camp to mooch meals said it all.
"All right! That's enough about the Elite Camp for now. Once you're dismissed, you can explore and get familiar with the place. Different rooms have different training equipment. And if you want to live here, just move in after dinner."
With that, Zephyr turned to the veterans who were training and called out, "Today's coaching session starts in half an hour. Same rules as always—you decide the order yourselves! Understood?"
The veterans exchanged amused smiles and shouted, "Understood!"
