Aboard the Marine warship, the Marines' stomachs kept growling. Listless and bleary-eyed, they slumped across the deck and the lookout platform.
"The base..."
"We need to get back to base!"
"Commodore Wuli, we haven't eaten in three days. Can we really last until we get back?"
"Don't be stupid. The base won't even send us food supplies anymore. Even if we make it back, we'll probably still starve."
"Which Town is nearby? Anywhere we can buy food will do."

Wuli watched the Marines struggle to talk, too weak to do much else. He felt helpless himself. Who would have thought they'd run into a food crisis so soon after setting sail?
