Borrowing Money to Buy a Sword

Watching Hina's warship gradually disappear over the horizon, the rear admiral in charge of the base withdrew his gaze.

He looked at Jerry, who had somehow taken out a Den Den Mushi, and asked with a frown, "Is the World Government really planning to move against Admiral Zephyr?"

"Former admiral," Jerry emphasized. "They let him cause trouble everywhere without launching a campaign against him because one admiral strongly opposed it. That was why the fleet admiral never gave the order."

As he spoke, Jerry suddenly sneered. "Now the fleet admiral has changed, and that admiral has left the Navy as well."

The rear admiral in charge of the base narrowed his eyes. "Could it be...?"

"That's right. Him. Kuzan."

At that moment, the Den Den Mushi in Jerry's hand began crying, "Pururururu," and Jerry answered it.

"Jerry?" A deep voice came from the other end.

"How is the list of people you were told to monitor?"

"Smoker and Hina should both be listed as key surveillance targets. Also, their meeting with Zephyr here must have involved some hidden dealings."

"Continue monitoring them." The other side hung up as soon as it finished speaking.

Jerry held the Den Den Mushi and stared in the direction where Hina's warship had vanished, smiling coldly.

"Yes."

A few days later, Hina's warship arrived at a town.

Hina stood to one side, giving instructions to the Navy soldiers under her command.

Meanwhile, Wuli stared miserably at his sword sheath. It was already ruined.

His sword had been destroyed during his previous battle with Kidd, and now his sheath had been destroyed in his fight with Jerry of CP6.

"Oh dear, I really need to get myself a sword. Otherwise, I'll be completely helpless when a fight comes along." Wuli sighed.

He was a swordsman. He needed a sword to bring out his strength.

A swordsman without a sword was like a tiger without fangs.

As for using his fingers in place of a sword, that was still beyond Wuli's ability.

"That Jerry from CP6 said you nearly captured all the pirates in the South Blue by yourself, frightening them so badly that every pirate was on edge. You should have plenty of money, shouldn't you?"

"Honestly, it wasn't that much. I accidentally spent it all." Wuli laughed it off.

Jango and Fullbody continued looking at Wuli suspiciously, clearly not believing that explanation.

They both thought, Could this guy be an impostor? But Cipher Pol's intelligence is absolutely reliable, and judging by that day's battle, he really does have that kind of strength.

Hina did not think too much about it and said calmly to Fullbody, "Give it to him."

Fullbody hesitantly took out one hundred thousand Beli and handed it to Wuli, who happily put the money away.

Then Hina asked curiously, "What are you borrowing money for?"

"I want to buy a sword," Wuli said.

Hina looked at the nearly deformed sword sheath in Wuli's hand and said, "There probably aren't any good swords in this town. When we return to Marine Headquarters, I'll get you a better one."

"I want to look around first and see if I can find a usable sword," Wuli said.

"Mm, that works," Hina said.

Seeing Hina care so much about Wuli, Hypnotist Jango looked at him with some jealousy.

"I heard Smoker arrived before us. Let's head over too," Hina ordered. "Everyone else, rest and remain on standby aboard the warship."

Once Wuli and the others reached the town, they split up.

Only after a long while did Wuli realize something. Looking at Hina and the others' disappearing backs, he opened his mouth.

"I forgot to ask where I'm supposed to find them later."
