Town's western harbor.

Mist shrouded the harbor. A massive bamboo raft loomed within it, carrying several hulking figures.

Laughter rang out through the fog.

"Zehahahaha! I'd planned to trade the captured Jewelry Bonney to the Marines for a warship. Who knew Sakazuki would come aboard that warship himself? It wasn't time to fight him, so I had to leave Bonney behind and slip away. Lucky for us, we drifted to an island with a Town."

A rough-looking, middle-aged man sat cross-legged on the enormous raft, his chest bare. He had dark skin and shaggy black hair bound with a headscarf, and several teeth were missing from his mouth.

He was laughing now, the gaps in his teeth impossible to miss. He held a large wooden tankard in one hand, and a Den Den Mushi sat beside him.

He raised the tankard and took a long swig. Wine ran down his chin, but he paid it no mind. A gleam flashed in his eyes as he laughed again. "This Town has booze, and it even has one of those legendary Road Poneglyphs. What luck! We can get one without fighting Kaido or Big Mom."

His eyes suddenly darkened, though his grin remained fierce. "But how did the Marines find out too? Someone even called in a Buster Call. Those Vice Admirals can't beat us, but Sakazuki won't back down. If Burgess doesn't hurry, getting that Poneglyph will be a pain. Sakazuki hasn't even reached Marine Headquarters yet. He's bound to come after us again."

The others on the huge raft said nothing and kept drinking. Only a tall man wearing a hat beneath an aviator cap, a cigar in his mouth, looked thoughtful.
