Kuro snorted in displeasure. He turned to look at Lucci and the others, who hurriedly shook their heads. Of everyone there, Kuro was the only one Ye Chen had forcibly captured.
Lucci and Ye Chen had become friends after fighting each other. They had fought more fiercely than anyone back then, and that was precisely why their bond had grown so strong.
Gin had been invited by Ye Chen, while Stone had asked to join of his own accord.
Kuina, to put it bluntly, had stubbornly insisted on coming aboard. And though Ye Chen had kidnapped Nami, she had already thought well of him. He had saved not only Cocoyasi Village but Bellemere too. Besides, Nami had always longed for the sea. Kuro alone had been ready to leave piracy behind when Ye Chen captured him.
Ye Chen sighed and brought over a chair. Kuro thought it was for him, but Ye Chen sat down on it without ceremony. He turned to Kuina and snapped his fingers. "Pour me a glass of wine!"
Kuina snorted, but she still turned and took a bottle of aged red wine from the ice cellar nearby.
The cargo hold had everything, and all of it was top quality. This was a ship of the Goa Royal House, after all. Its food and drink were both plentiful and fine.
Ye Chen poured himself a glass and drank it, then took out a fine pack of Killer Brand Cigarettes and lit one.
Kuro seethed. The man was clearly doing it on purpose, and just watching him was infuriating. But Kuro was at their mercy. Even if it were only Ye Chen and Lucci, he would be no match for them.
