By the middle of the night, many people were dead drunk, sprawled across the ground. Even though they had done Amazon Lily a tremendous favor, its rules could not be broken: no man except Ye Chen was allowed into Kuja Castle. Letting everyone spend the night on the shore was already an exception.
Seeing how late it was, Hancock gathered her courage and leaned close to Ye Chen's ear. "Ye Chen, it's getting late. Shall we go back to the palace?"
Ye Chen turned to find Hancock gazing at him with deep affection. Her clear eyes were alluring and full of heat. In them, he saw the longing they shared.
Ye Chen was no saint, and he wanted to say yes at once. But if he followed her to the palace now, people would see them. He could enter whenever he pleased, but he did not want to make a show of it in front of everyone.
"Hancock, look how beautiful the night is. Why don't you stay here?"
Hancock looked around, reluctant. She wanted to be alone with Ye Chen and do things only the two of them could do together. But she could not bear to refuse him, so she nodded.
Later that night, Nami woke and headed into the woods to relieve herself. As she passed a cave, she heard a man and a woman panting inside. Her eyes lit up, and she stuck out her tongue playfully. "Who could it be? Fooling around here in the middle of the night?"
She peeked inside and hurriedly covered her mouth, afraid she might cry out. Ye Chen had sensed her approach, but Hancock was on top of him and they were occupied. Whatever he said would only embarrass Hancock, so he pretended not to notice.
Nami's face burned.
