Beneath the Eternal Ancient Tree in Despair Forest, a giant neon frog croaked instinctively. Pain laced its voice, along with a trace of misery.

In the end, he could not even maintain any color. It scattered into fragmented motes of light, and those motes continued dispersing out of his control.

Yet he seemed to feel none of it. He merely stared blankly at the Eternal Giant Tree, extending his tongue to swallow drop after drop of Eternal Light.
