Background / History

Killer B was Kumogakure's Eight-Tails Jinchuriki and had achieved the status of a perfect Jinchuriki, freely cooperating with the Eight-Tails and using its chakra much like Naruto uses Nine-Tails Chakra Mode. He fought alongside the Fourth Raikage as part of the AB Combo, a combination powerful enough to injure Jiraiya. 161 162

During Konoha's counteroffensive in the Land of Hot Water, Killer B and the Fourth Raikage confronted Asuma. Despite entering the battle with the Raikage, Killer B was overwhelmed, left unable to move, and forced to rely on the Eight-Tails to take control of his body. Asuma captured him and scattered the Cloud forces. 161

Following Kumogakure's peace treaty, Asuma brought Killer B to Konoha. Rather than imprisoning him, Minato treated him with trust and respect, which moved Killer B despite his initial surprise. 162

Asuma then arranged for Killer B to perform concerts in Konoha. Although furious that Asuma advertised him as a captive Eight-Tails Jinchuriki, Killer B chose to embrace the attention and pursue his dream of becoming a recognized rapper. The concerts rapidly sold out and earned more than 100 million ryo. 163 166 168

Asuma later subdued Killer B and the Eight-Tails again, split the Eight-Tails into Yin and Yang halves, and sealed the Yin half in a black pot. He subsequently extracted chakra from Killer B and the Eight-Tails; Killer B and the beast believed Uchiha Madara was responsible. 167 168

Personality

Killer B is flamboyant, loud, and deeply committed to rap. He frequently punctuates his speech with insults and rhythmic catchphrases, even in battle. 161 162

He craves recognition for his music and was initially delighted by the popularity of his Konoha concerts. Even after discovering the humiliating details of Asuma's promotion, he chose not to flee because the concert gave him an unprecedented chance to prove himself as a rapper. 163 168

Despite his bravado, he recognizes overwhelming danger. He was alarmed by Asuma's strength, considered escape while in Konoha, and followed the Eight-Tails' warnings during battle. 161 163 277
