Background / History

Bibi Dong was a gifted Spirit Hall Soul Master whose rare Twin Martial Souls led Qian Xunji to appoint her Saintess and cultivate her as his successor. Even with that support, she describes her advancement to Soul Douluo and Titled Douluo as difficult 78.

After Tang Hao severely injured Qian Xunji, Bibi Dong used the opportunity to kill him and devour his angelic soul. She later became Pope while Qian Renxue was still only a few years old and Ye Qingtian was absent from Spirit Hall 32 77 83.

Her past includes a romantic relationship with Yu Xiaogang and repeated hostility toward her daughter, Qian Renxue. From Qian Renxue’s account, Bibi Dong attempted to kill her more than once during childhood and never provided basic maternal affection 43 46. She also previously hunted Xiao Wu’s mother 92.

As Pope, Bibi Dong compelled the Heaven Dou and Star Luo empires to fund subsidies for commoner Soul Masters, a policy Emperor Xue Ye resented 42.

Appearance

  • Face: Described as stunning, with a cold and unapproachable expression during her public confrontation with Ye Qingtian 41.
  • Symbol of office: Commonly carries the Pope’s scepter, gripping it tightly when restraining her anger 34 39 76.
  • Divine transformation: During Offering One’s Body to the God, her body breaks into flesh and blood until only her head remains intact. The Rakshasa God’s Heart eventually restores her body 119 126.

Personality

Bibi Dong is proud of her papal authority and repeatedly tries to control stronger opponents through institutional rules. She presents personal demands as matters of Spirit Hall discipline, resource allocation, or strategic necessity, including her attempts to seize Xiao Wu and terminate Qian Renxue’s infiltration mission 36 37 76.

Her attachment to Yu Xiaogang dominates her decisions after his death. She accepts Tang San’s proposed Beast Tide despite recognizing that it could cause widespread devastation, treating revenge as more important than civilian lives 34 45. Her resentment also becomes directed at Qian Renxue’s rapid advancement and the protection she receives from Ye Qingtian 78 81.

Although capable of deduction and planning, Bibi Dong repeatedly misjudges the limits of her authority and her enemies’ strength. She mistakes Ye Qingtian’s restraint for declining resolve and Gu Yuena’s human appearance for an opportunity to obtain a powerful Spirit Ring 41 83 85.

Her endurance remains exceptional even after those plans fail. She willingly destroys her own body and refuses to surrender under the Rakshasa God Soul’s escalating torment. Ye Qingtian considers her suitable for a ruthless combat role if she could abandon her fixation on Yu Xiaogang 119 122 126.

Abilities & Skills

Twin Martial Souls

Bibi Dong originally possesses two Spider Emperor Martial Souls, the talent that secured her position as Spirit Hall’s Saintess 78.

  • Death Spider Emperor: Her first Martial Soul reaches a complete nine-ring configuration before Gu Yuena destroys it 83 93 94.
  • Devouring Soul Spider Emperor: Her surviving Martial Soul has seven Spirit Rings when the Rakshasa God’s Heart restores her body 126.
  • Additional ring capacity: Before her defeat, vacant slots on her second Martial Soul motivate her plan to hunt Gu Yuena 83 84.
  • Limit: Losing the Death Spider Emperor removes its remaining rings and causes her cultivation to fall to Soul Sage 94 115.

Ninth Soul Skill: Undying Body

Undying Body converts her body, or the threatened portion of it, into an ethereal energy state to evade attacks 79 93.

  • Allows Gu Yuena’s silver beam to pass through her transformed body, although she remains severely weakened afterward 93.
  • Fails against Ye Qingtian’s black beam, which pierces her energy body 79.
  • Depends on her Hundred-Thousand-Year ninth Spirit Ring; Gu Yuena neutralizes the skill by crushing that ring 93.

Sixth Soul Skill: Eternal Scar

Eternal Scar turns a large Spider Emperor leg into a sharp spike for a piercing attack 92.

  • Bibi Dong attempts to strike Gu Yuena from behind with it 92.
  • The supplied passage records the attack’s execution, not a successful injury 92.

Rakshasa Divine Power and Inheritance

Bibi Dong can mobilize limited Rakshasa Divine Power before becoming a god and accesses the inheritance grounds through a purple vortex 118.

  • Uses the inheritance site’s aura for healing and cultivation 79 118.
  • Pursues the Rakshasa trials as a route to becoming a First-Level Main God and avenging herself on Ye Qingtian 79 85.
  • Undertakes Offering One’s Body to the God, a forbidden reconstruction process that either produces a divine body or kills its participant 119.
  • Depends on divine power to repair her shattered body; its temporary disappearance leaves her unable to complete recovery 122 123.
  • After receiving the Rakshasa God’s Heart, her remaining Spirit Rings begin increasing in age—an improvement attributed to divine power 126.

Titled Douluo Movement and Pressure

Before her cultivation loss, Bibi Dong demonstrates flight, covert movement, and coercive Soul Power 40 41 80.

  • Flies above the Heaven Dou City Spirit Hall branch to address Ye Qingtian publicly 41.
  • Enters the heavily guarded Crown Prince’s Eastern Palace unnoticed 80.
  • Forces the Rank 69 Qian Renxue backward with her aura, causing pain until Ye Qingtian intervenes 40.
  • Cannot withstand the Human Emperor Banner’s pressure and feels her soul being pulled from her body during a later confrontation 77.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Pope’s scepter — Her recurring symbol of office. It corrodes and breaks while she attempts to block Ye Qingtian’s attack 34 42. She is shown carrying a Pope’s scepter again later, without an explanation of its replacement or restoration 76.
  • Rakshasa God’s Heart — Merges with her during the inheritance ritual, restoring her body and strengthening her Soul Power and remaining Spirit Rings 126.
  • Rakshasa Demon Scythe — The former Rakshasa God’s divine weapon, black with deep-purple traces. It responds warmly when she approaches after receiving the heart; her actual possession or use of it is not shown 126.

Relationships

  • Qian Renxue — Biological daughter and increasingly open rival. Bibi Dong’s childhood rejection, attempt to seize her intended Spirit Ring, and effort to cancel her infiltration deepen their estrangement. Qian Renxue insists on eventually defeating her fairly 38 46 76 77.
  • Yu Xiaogang — Former lover and the central object of her attachment. She personally grants him honorary status within Spirit Hall; his death drives her campaign against Ye Qingtian 22 32 34 43.
  • Ye Qingtian — Spirit Hall’s Supreme Consecrated and her principal enemy after he kills Yu Xiaogang. He repeatedly defeats her, protects Qian Renxue from her interference, and later secretly orders the Rakshasa God Soul to help her complete her inheritance 36 42 77 123.
  • Qian Xunji — Former patron who named her Saintess and intended her to succeed him. She later kills him and devours his angelic soul after Tang Hao injures him 78 83.
  • Qian Daoliu — Senior Spirit Hall authority whom she resents as an obstacle to sole control. He later acknowledges that his leniency allowed her destructive actions to grow 41 115.
  • Yue Guan and Gui Mei — Loyal Titled Douluo subordinates. Her order to seize Xiao Wu leads to their deaths and imprisonment as souls within the Human Emperor Banner; she is devastated by their loss 37 40 78.
  • Tang San — Temporary ally against Ye Qingtian and prospective protégé. She promises him admission to Spirit Hall and personal guidance in Yu Xiaogang’s place 45 81.
  • Tang Hao — An enemy of Spirit Hall who indirectly enabled her killing of Qian Xunji. She later cooperates with his faction and questions him about the Star Dou Great Forest 83 84.
  • Gu Yuena — Intended hunting target who instead destroys her ninth Spirit Ring and Death Spider Emperor Martial Soul 83 93 94.
  • Rakshasa God Soul — Source of her divine inheritance. It secretly torments her to retaliate against Ye Qingtian, mistakenly believing she is his protected ally, but ultimately helps her survive the ritual 123 124 125 126.
  • Salas — Platinum Bishop serving the Heaven Dou City branch. Bibi Dong dismisses him harshly when he attempts to help after her defeat 79.
