Background

After the Dragon God fell, its power divided into the Golden Dragon King and Silver Dragon King. Gu Yuena inherited the latter half; after escaping the God Realm and the Shura God, she concealed herself beneath the Lake of Life in the Star Dou Great Forest while carrying hidden injuries. 50 51

Ye Qingtian forcibly awakened her by shaking the Star Dou Great Forest and calling her from the Lake of Life. Gu Yuena immediately assumed command of the Fierce Beasts, ordered Di Tian not to challenge Ye Qingtian, and rejected his initial demand for cooperation. 48 49

Rather than fight her weakened state directly, Ye Qingtian used the Sunset Bow to reveal the River of Time. Gu Yuena witnessed fragments of the past and possible future, including events involving Tang San, the Golden Dragon King, and herself. Afterward, she agreed to cooperate with Ye Qingtian and abandon the planned Beast Tide. 51 52 53

Ye Qingtian’s arrow also removed all of Gu Yuena’s hidden injuries. Once she confirmed her recovery, she entrusted Di Tian with the Star Dou Great Forest, ordered action against anyone bearing the Tang surname, and left for the human world with Ye Qingtian. 55 56

Appearance

Gu Yuena’s human form is a peerlessly beautiful but somewhat frail-looking woman with pale skin, violet eyes, and jade-like bare feet. Despite this appearance, she retains the innate bearing and pressure of the Soul Beast sovereign. 52 65

She is fiercely protective of Soul Beast authority and contemptuous of those she considers weak, disloyal, or presumptuous. She condemned the Sky Azure Bull Python, Titan Giant Ape, and Xiao Wu as traitors for allowing human ties to influence the Soul Beast race. 54 74
