Myriad Transformations Treasure Lotus, the Heavenly Court Was About to Rise

Compared to the divine beast Black Tortoise's body, however, this lotus, merely tens of millions of zhang in size, was still a tiny thing.

At this moment, the Myriad Transformations Treasure Lotus grew in the North Pole Sea. Its lotus stem was a deep jade-green, as thick as a colossal tree, piercing through countless layers beneath the sea, while innumerable fine, translucent roots spread outward in every direction.

They burrowed into the vast, boundless seabed. Wherever those countless roots passed, trickles of water veins sprang forth from nothing.

Above, upon the sea's surface, the Myriad Transformations Treasure Lotus's leaves were broad as clouds, clear throughout and gleaming with a faint azure-glazed luster. Rippling water-pattern Dao marks flowed across their surfaces.

Each pattern resembled a true-form diagram of the countless currents within this vast ocean. Every moment, they changed along with the shifting tides.

As for the lotus blossom, its petals layered upon one another, eighteen in total. Their color gradually transitioned from pale blue to translucent white, like pure water frozen in place.

At the center of the lotus was a mass of Innate Water Essence that constantly spun and flowed, as though it were the flower's stamen, ceaselessly gushing forth origin water vapor.

As this spiritual root took root in the North Pole, Dao Xuan sensed that a vast stretch of ocean near the pole instantly became tranquil.

All manner of chaotic currents were combed into order and turned gentle.

However, there was also a drawback: the seawater near the North Pole had become bitterly cold.

Naturally, this was due to the Innate Kui Water Essence released by the Myriad Transformations Treasure Lotus.

One could see that the seawater near the North Pole had even begun to freeze.

It was imaginable that before long, the sea's surface would become a world of ice and snow, with enormous icebergs floating and drifting upon it.

Yet these were all beneficial changes. As the Myriad Transformations Treasure Lotus continued to grow and became a High-Grade Innate Spiritual Root, or even a Supreme-Grade Innate Spiritual Root, it would affect more than merely the nearby seas.

At that time, all the oceans of the Inner World—not only those of the Main World, but also those of the billions of worlds surrounding it—as well as the rivers and lakes upon land, would all come under its control.

By then, the entire Inner World's water system would be combed and organized as one, forming a perfect water cycle.

Not only would the Myriad Transformations Treasure Lotus gain tremendous benefits, but the entire Inner World would benefit greatly as well, driving its water laws toward continual perfection.

This was an ability unique to Innate Spiritual Roots. Compared with Innate Spiritual Treasures, they possessed an additional vitality and life force.

Their effect on the Inner World was also far greater.

Otherwise, Dao Xuan would not have destroyed a High-Grade Innate Spiritual Treasure so casually.

But now, it seemed that its destruction had been very worthwhile.

Moreover, from the example of consuming the Azure Tide Bottle and transforming the Pure World White Lotus into the Myriad Transformations Treasure Lotus, Dao Xuan had developed a new line of thought.

After all, Innate Spiritual Roots were so useful. Naturally, he would continue gathering them.

It was fine for those spiritual roots in the Primordial World whose locations he knew, but for those whose whereabouts were unknown, Dao Xuan had no idea where to search.

At the same time, its law origin had to be sufficiently pure, without multiple laws mixed together. Otherwise, the laws would interfere with each other, making it difficult to succeed.

There was, however, a shortcut. Like this time, combining the Azure Tide Bottle and the Pure World White Lotus, then using the great divine ability Creation by Rotation, gave a certain chance of successfully transforming them into a new Innate Spiritual Root.

It was simply that such an Innate Spiritual Root would be far inferior in both attribute stability and growth potential.

Successfully creating the Myriad Transformations Treasure Lotus this time had been extraordinarily fortunate.

Still, no matter what, it had succeeded. At this moment, Black Tortoise looked at the Myriad Transformations Treasure Lotus and found it more pleasing the longer he looked.

There could be said to be three Five Elements spiritual roots in the world: the World Tree, the Ginseng Fruit Tree, and the Myriad Transformations Treasure Lotus.

However, the attributes of these three spiritual roots were not entirely the same.

The World Tree could be regarded as a Jia Wood Spiritual Root, while the Ginseng Fruit Tree was a Wu Earth Spiritual Root. Both belonged to the Yang Five Elements.

But the Myriad Transformations Treasure Lotus belonged to the Yin Five Elements.

Though the Yin Five Elements and Yang Five Elements were both Five Elements, such a combination clearly could not form a cycle.

Therefore, he had to find more spiritual roots of other attributes.

The Yin Five Elements are absolutely impossible. Even if I persuade the Gourd Vine to lend me some branches and vines and make up for Yi Wood, I have nowhere to find the remaining three great spiritual roots: Ji Earth, Ding Fire, and Xin Metal, Dao Xuan thought.
