Black lines ran down Heiduo's forehead. He had no idea what Agatha was trying to accomplish by spouting all this nonsense.

But she did not leave him confused for long before revealing her true purpose.

She first spoke of the harsh living conditions of wild Pokémon.

Then she spoke of humanity's exploitation of Pokémon.

Finally came the Elite Four's ideals. Once she had explained it all, Agatha extended an olive branch to Heiduo.

"Join us! I can tell that you love your Pokémon deeply. Surely you wouldn't want to see them freely bought, sold, or harmed one day!" Agatha declared loudly. "Lorelei is waiting for you to stand beside her as well! Everything is for a better tomorrow!"

At first, the Elite Four's goal had been to destroy humanity.

Later, it became driving humanity off the land and returning it to the wild Pokémon.

They had gradually come to understand that exterminating humanity was impossible. All they could do was drive humans away and return the Pokémon's homeland to them.

But Heiduo had no idea whether people would die in that process, or how many would die.

Nor did he want to become someone with blood all over his hands.

So, of course, he refused. I'm not even taking the position of Champion, above tens of thousands, and you expect me to be your lackey?

Hearing Heiduo reject her proposal so clearly, Agatha's gaze turned much colder. Among the
