Frost Breath was an Ice-type special move that was guaranteed to land a Critical Hit. And a Critical Hit meant damage multiplied by 1.5.
With the same-type bonus of 1.5 added on top of that.
Frost Breath's power in the games was as high as 135!
It was not to be underestimated!

In the second that astonishing cold gathered inside Mega Glalie's huge maw, which looked as though it had been dislocated, Mega Swampert's massive fist—wrapped in water and accelerated by air currents—had already slammed into its right eye!

The cold gathering in that vicious monster's mouth was also scattered by Mega Swampert's soul-shaking blow. It flew backward for over ten meters before finally stopping, carving a deep trench into the ground and nearly crashing into two watching Draconids.
When it straightened up, the white ice layer on its face had shattered across the ground, exposing the black stone-like skin beneath. Yet very quickly, frost spread across its upper cheeks and formed a suit of icy armor over it once more.
"Glalie!"
Alain shouted as he retreated to Mega Glalie's side. It responded quietly, shaking its head as though it were dizzy. Alain looked warily at the
