Ignoring the commotion around him.
Heiduo stood by the lakeshore, watching Mega Swampert swim through Bottomless Lake. From time to time, it released high-pressure gas from the air sacs on the backs of its hands and along its spine, propelling itself out of the water at incredible speed.
He also watched Mega Beedrill flying above the lake, its vibrating wings producing invisible sound waves that stirred up spray as its four long stingers thrust forward and back.
Like Garchomp, which had only recently gained Mega Evolution, these two were overjoyed after Mega Evolving. They freely expended what seemed like limitless stamina and energy over the lake's surface.
Mega Swampert was particularly eye-catching.
Heiduo's gaze was mainly fixed on the Mega Swampert that kept leaping like a fish.
It seemed to have figured it out on its own, learning how to compress air—a technique it had never managed before—and eject it through its air sacs. Perhaps that had something to do with its increased number of air sacs?
Aside from the ones on its cheeks, Swampert only had four air sacs. After evolving into Mega Swampert, those four had become eight. Though the sacs on its legs had shifted to its back, that made it more conducive to expelling high-pressure gas, making its punches faster and stronger!
"Most likely. No wonder it could never learn it before—the body structure simply didn't allow it." Heiduo rubbed his chin. Just as humans could not fly on their own and most fish could not breathe on land, Swampert's physical structure meant it could not store high-pressure gas in its air sacs to move its body like Pupitar could.
It could only forcibly propel itself by blasting out streams of water.
"What a muscle monster." Heiduo looked at the bulging muscles on Mega Swampert's arms
