Background

Chrome Dragons are among the strongest Heavy-Metal Dragon strains, ranked beneath only the Royal Strain Iron Dragons. They are renowned for the sharpness of their chromium bones and heavy-metal keratin, as well as their agility and precise combat instincts. Iron Dragons nevertheless naturally suppress them through superior physical strength and durability. 1 3

Before the fall of the Supreme Dragon, Chrome Dragons were reputed to be the most destructive Heavy-Metal Dragons, associated with slaughter and ruin. After the Heavy-Metal Dragons lost their deity, however, no bloodline was considered morally predetermined; a Chrome Dragon’s conduct became dependent on individual temperament and experience. 1 17

Chrome Dragons are generally solitary and resistant to authority. Their Dragon Legacy characterizes them as sharp, wild, and difficult to restrain once they gain strength, a tendency that can place them in conflict with the rule of Great Dragons and their own Lineage. 84

Appearance

Chrome Dragons have a streamlined, medium-sized build designed for speed rather than the bulk of Iron Dragons. Their bodies carry cold metallic tones, with sharp horns, clawed limbs, membranous wings, and ordered rows of bony spikes. 2 33
