|---|---|---|
| Initial Panel | 1–2 | Manifests during activation of the Five-Colored Altar. It identifies Jiang Yun as a Mortal, records 1.22% Sacred Physique potential, and grants a 20×20×20-meter Source Space 1 2. |
| Sea of Bitterness interface | 11 | Confirms Jiang Yun’s first cultivation breakthrough; Source Space expands to 40×40×40 meters 11. |
| Dao companion and Mark interface | 18 | Records Jiang Shuanglan as Jiang Yun’s Dao companion, along with Hengyu Bloodline, Divine Physique percentages, favorability, and 411 Marks. Marks are used to raise Jiang Yun’s Divine Physique from 1.23% to 5.34% 18. |
| Origin Small World | 198 | The panel’s spatial entry is renamed from Source Space to “Origin Space: Origin Small World,” reflecting the space’s evolution beyond a simple storage area 198. |
| Source World as Dao foundation | 239 | Jiang Yun recognizes the Source World, rather than the panel’s direct enhancements, as the stable foundation of his future Dao 239. |
| Dao Origin record | 496 | Its simplified display records Jiang Yun’s Dao Origin Physique, Dao Origin Bloodline, and hundreds of complete or incomplete physique and bloodline origins 496. |
| Origin Panel dark-state tracking | 607 | The panel reveals separate Dark Physique and Dark Bloodline categories after Jiang Yun is contaminated by Dark Emperor Blood 607. |
| Limit-breaking physique tracker | 660–661 | Records the evolution of Double Pupils from 100% into the higher-ranked Eye of the Heavenly Dao—Double Pupils 5%, while adding exclusive Tong Yue imprints 660 661. |
Background
Origin first appears to Jiang Yun as a translucent panel when the Five-Colored Altar activates on Mount Tai. Its initial display identifies a Mortal Physique, a trace of Sacred Physique potential, the unlearned Dao Scripture, a Source Space, and several locked systems tied to Dao companions, Marks, Reflection Points, bloodlines, and descendants 1 2.
Jiang Yun attempts to communicate with the panel but receives no response. He concludes that it has no intelligence and treats it as a tool rather than a sentient system 2.
The panel initially functions as both a cultivation record and an interface for Source Space. As Jiang Yun cultivates, forms Dao-companion bonds, and obtains resources, it records changes in his realm, physiques, bloodlines, techniques, Marks, and spatial capacity 11 18.
As the Source Space grows into an Origin Small World and later becomes Jiang Yun’s Source World, Jiang Yun increasingly distinguishes between the panel’s external enhancements and the stable Dao foundation created through his own comprehension and the world’s development 198 239.
Functions
Status Recording
Origin continuously displays Jiang Yun’s cultivation data and acquired assets.
- Records cultivation realm, physique, bloodline, cultivation methods, Reflection Points, Marks, Dao companions, favorability, and descendants when available 2 11 18.
- Tracks fractional progress for physiques and bloodlines, including Sacred Physique, Divine Physique, Hengyu Bloodline, and later Dao Origin Physique and Dao Origin Bloodline 2 18 496.
- Can distinguish ordinary and dark counterparts of a power, separately listing Dark Physique and Dark Bloodline after Jiang Yun’s exposure to Dark Emperor Blood 607.
- Records transformations beyond apparent completion, such as Double Pupils evolving from 100% into the Eye of the Heavenly Dao 660 661.
Source Space Interface
The panel grants and records Jiang Yun’s internal spatial domain.
- Begins as a 20×20×20-meter storage space; objects initially must be physically touched before they can be stored 2.
- Its interior can be mentally reshaped or divided 2.
- Expands alongside Jiang Yun’s progress, reaching 40×40×40 meters after he enters the Sea of Bitterness Realm 11.
- Develops from Source Space into an Origin Small World, then into the Source World that becomes central to Jiang Yun’s Dao 198 239.
Dao Companion Interface
Origin’s early design centers on Dao companions and the benefits derived from dual cultivation.
- Initially lists Bloodline, Reflection Points, Marks, and Descendant Bonus as unavailable because Jiang Yun has no Dao companion 2.
- Records Dao companions’ bloodlines, physiques, and favorability once Jiang Shuanglan is registered 18.
- Marks can directly enhance Jiang Yun’s Divine Physique; 411 Marks raise it from 1.23% to 5.34% 18.
- The panel’s favorability values are treated by Jiang Yun as indicators of a companion’s emotional state, not as commands over them 35.
Origin and Bloodline Tracking
At later stages, Origin records increasingly complex forms of physical and bloodline evolution.
- Confirms the successful implantation of a faint True Dragon Bloodline in Huolin’er, registering it at 1.23% 537.
- Tracks enormous collections of complete and incomplete physique and bloodline origins after Jiang Yun’s Dao Origin transformation 496.
- Displays exclusive imprints tied to Tong Yue after Jiang Yun’s Double Pupils evolve into the Eye of the Heavenly Dao 661.
- Reveals that a displayed 100% completion is not an absolute endpoint, but can precede a higher limit-breaking transformation 660 661.
Limitations
- Origin does not answer Jiang Yun’s attempts at communication and shows no confirmed intelligence or independent will 2.
- Its Dao-companion-related functions remain inaccessible while Jiang Yun has no registered companion 2 11.
- The earliest Source Space can only store objects Jiang Yun is touching; its ability to house living beings is initially uncertain 2.
- High-level physique advancement may require enormous Mark or imprint expenditures. Jiang Yun spends 150,000 Marks to raise Double Pupils from 1% to 100%, while the evolved Eye of the Heavenly Dao requires Tong Yue-specific imprints 660 661.
- The panel records dark bloodlines and physiques, but does not establish whether such power is safely controlled or a form of ongoing corruption 607.
Relationships
- Jiang Yun — Origin’s sole confirmed user; it manifests to him during the Five-Colored Altar’s activation and records his cultivation throughout his journey 1 2.
- Jiang Shuanglan — First recorded Dao companion; her physique, bloodline, favorability, and linked improvements appear in the panel 18.
- Huolin’er — First confirmed subject of Jiang Yun’s True Dragon Bloodline Catalyst Method; Origin verifies the new bloodline at 1.23% 537.
- Tong Yue — Her evolved Double-Pupiled Physique provides the exclusive imprints needed to advance Jiang Yun’s Eye of the Heavenly Dao 660 661.
Trivia
- Origin’s earliest display lists the Dao Scripture as Jiang Yun’s cultivation technique before he has learned it 2.
- The panel’s spatial function is originally called Source Space, but later appears as Origin Space: Origin Small World 2 198.
- Despite being called a “system” by Jiang Yun, Origin never demonstrates a response function or personality 2.
