Background / History

The sect was founded in the Ancient Era by its present Patriarch, an Earth Immortal associated with the Five Directions and Five Emperors. Its founder, the Divine Firmament Sect’s patriarch, and other great cultivators helped establish the Ancient Heavenly Court to regulate cultivators and stabilize heaven and earth 197 534.

When the Ancient Heavenly Court proposed creating a Netherworld, the first Yellow Heaven Sect leader worked with the Northern Black Emperor, Zhi Guangji. Their collaboration produced the General Compendium of the Six Heavenly Hells, including the Secret Register of the Yin Heaven of Zhoujue; the Yellow Heaven inheritance later developed into the Supreme Yellow Heaven True Method of Six Dragons Return the Sun 205.

After the Heavenly Court’s collapse, the Patriarch established the Yellow Heaven lineage and eventually relocated its mountain gate into the Outer Void. There, the sect could directly confront the Nine Heavenly Human Arts, resist Heavenly Demon incursions, and prepare for changes that could destroy the mortal world 112 469 749.

The sect and Divine Firmament Sect originated from the same ancient school of cultivators. Their predecessors believed cultivation should not merely seek individual transcendence, but should also reshape the laws of life, death, yin, and yang to make the world more favorable for all cultivators 89.

Mystic Mountain and Lion Azure Lotus

The Yellow Heaven Sect and Divine Firmament Sect secretly investigated Lion Azure Lotus Perfected Tathagata’s attempt to revive through incarnations and Demonic Thoughts. Their long preparation culminated in a joint campaign against his remnants at Mystic Mountain 88 101.

Yulizi manifested an illusory Yellow Heaven Sect over Mystic Mountain, drew upon constellation, thunder, Buddhist, and sword arts, and challenged Lion Azure Lotus directly. Narayana’s descent exposed the extreme danger of confronting a Dharma-Ending Lord 96 97 98.

Su Che’s Formal Admission

Yulizi accepted Su Che as a personal disciple after he independently cultivated all thirty-six Yin Heaven Mystic Talismans. Su Che was subsequently registered as a third-generation Yellow Heaven disciple and appointed temple master of Mind-Stilling Temple near Jiankang 88 473.

Ancient Netherworld and Blood River Realm

The sect negotiated with Mysterious Capital Palace over access to the Ancient Netherworld, securing two Two Realms Tokens and five additional Xuanji Pavilion seats rather than allowing its disciples to be used as expendable competitors 486.

During the Blood River Realm crisis, Su Che, Li Shouchang, and Jiang Shoucheng represented the sect as a small but elite delegation. They allied with Jade Sun Mountain against Northern Pole Origin Palace infiltration and the Demonic Slave Race outbreak 688 700.

Break with Mysterious Capital Palace

As the Heaven-and-Earth Calamity approached, the sect concluded that Mysterious Capital Palace intended to reset earth, water, fire, and wind through a slaughter tribulation, potentially rebuilding the Ancient Heavenly Court under a controlled order 748.

The Yellow Heaven Sect therefore resolved to leave its alliance with Mysterious Capital Palace. It has already identified three foreign lands, relocated more than ten million people from the Lesser Pure Void Realm, and established branches of the Way of Great Peace in the Pure Abode Land and Eight Stars Land 748 749.
