Background / History

Tang Hao is a member of the Clear Sky Sect who went into hiding for years while remaining near his son, Tang San. His whereabouts were so difficult to trace that even Spirit Hall could not locate him. He later revealed himself after Dugu Bo intervened against Tang San's group. 51 64 67

He considers the Clear Sky Sect's honor and restoration a personal obligation. Although Tang San has little attachment to the sect, Tang Hao insists that their inheritance of the Clear Sky Hammer makes them permanent members and intends for Tang San to return to the sect openly and honorably. He also places on Tang San the burdens of restoring the sect, opposing Spirit Hall, and reviving Ah Yin. 83 134 135

Ah Yin, a Blue Silver Emperor, is Tang Hao's wife. Her survival as a regrowing Blue Silver Emperor plant is his greatest vulnerability; Chu Zhao repeatedly exploits this weakness to threaten or draw him out. 81 83 137

This protectiveness is possessive and extreme: he attacks Dugu Bo for opposing Tang San's group, brings Strength Clan elites to protect Tang San, and repeatedly attempts to kill Chu Zhao after she injures or threatens him. 52 68 69 96

He is exceptionally arrogant, treating even other Titled Douluo as beneath him and believing he can fight numerous opponents alone. Tang Hao reveals himself as Clear Sky Douluo after Dugu Bo protects Cloud Peak Academy's students from Tang San's hidden weapons. Viewing Dugu Bo's actions as an offense against his son, Tang Hao attacks and defeats him. 51 52

Conflict with Spirit Hall

After sensing Chrysanthemum Douluo near Shrek Academy, Tang Hao intercepts him. Their battle damages the academy and injures students through its aftershocks; Tang Hao only considers relocating after Zhao Wuji reminds him that Tang San still needs the academy and its students. 65

Tang Hao nearly kills Chrysanthemum Douluo, then confronts Bibi Dong without fear. The fight is halted before it can escalate further within Heaven Dou City. 66

Enmity with Chu Zhao

Chu Zhao challenges Tang Hao in an effort to keep him near Tang San. Tang Hao dismisses her as insignificant, but her Reaper Arrow tears apart his hand when he attempts to catch it barehanded. 67 68

Humiliated and convinced Chu Zhao is dangerous to Tang San, Tang Hao repeatedly attempts to kill her. Tang San and Guang Ling prevent him from doing so, while Chu Zhao later uses Wrath of Thunder and a powerful drug to worsen his injuries and incapacitate him. 69 79 80 81

Tournament Interference and Decline

Tang Hao orders Tang San to use the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer against Chu Zhao and later attempts to interfere directly in the match. Jin Douluo and Dugu Bo stop him, while Ning Fengzhi pressures him to withdraw. 87 88

At Pope's Palace, Tang Hao arrives to defend Tang San and Xiao Wu but is already badly weakened. His Clear Sky True Body is neutralized, and he is severely injured by Bibi Dong's forces. 115

Final Conflict and Death

Chu Zhao lures Tang Hao to Moonlight City with a Blue Silver Emperor leaf. Tang Hao attacks in an attempt to reclaim Ah Yin, but Chu Zhao outlasts him through Spirit Plant Immortal Herbs and prior preparations that drain his Soul Power. 137 138

Tang San blocks Chu Zhao's fatal Scythe of Fate strike and loses his Male Lead Halo to save his father. Tang Hao refuses to let Tang San sacrifice himself and pushes him away. 138

After Chu Zhao uses Moment of Eternity, she strikes Tang Hao with her scythe. Tang Xiao and a Clear Sky Sect elder escape with Tang San, leaving Tang Hao barely alive; he is subsequently regarded as dead. 140 146
