Background / History

Na'er was found alone near Red Mountain Academy as a filthy, abandoned-looking silver-haired child. Three street criminals attempted to abduct and sell her, but Fang Ming killed them after telling her to close her eyes. When she said she had no family, she accepted his offer to take her home. 8

Her hunger quickly became apparent: Fang Ming bought her large quantities of fried chicken fork bones, which she called “the most delicious thing in the world.” He then brought her to Cang Xuan, who accepted her into the household after she manifested the Silver Dragon Spear and called him “Grandpa Cang.” 9

Na'er attended Red Mountain Academy alongside Fang Ming. Though timid around unfamiliar people, she was secure enough beside him to fall asleep in class, and she obeyed him immediately when he sent her away before the eruption of his Calamity Poison Body. 10

Over three years, Na'er grew into a graceful young woman. Before leaving Aolai City, she asked Fang Ming whether he would remember and search for her even if she went somewhere he could never find. He promised to find her and keep their home open for her return. 11

After departing, Na'er met Gu Yue and acknowledged her true identity and duty as one half of the Silver Dragon King. She agreed to pursue the soul beasts’ mission, but forced Gu Yue to promise not to harm Fang Ming or Cang Xuan and to remain by Fang Ming’s side in her place. Na'er then identified Tang Wulin as carrying the Golden Dragon King’s aura before leaving through a spatial rift with Gu Yue. 12

Na'er was initially a small, frail child in dusty, worn clothing. After being cared for by Fang Ming and Cang Xuan, she grew into a striking young woman. 8 11
