After unlocking the Phasing skill, Roy's research focus immediately shifted from Space-Time Jump to the principles behind Phasing.

This could be considered a battle between Flash and Phasing, but since the Phasing Charm was what he had developed first, a bird in the hand was worth two in the bush. Roy would not pass up any opportunity to improve his strength, so his research into Anti-Apparition had to be put aside for a couple of days.

"Interesting. Rather than Phasing, this is more like phase shifting."

With his wand in hand, Roy found a quiet spot in the open grounds outside Hogwarts Castle and spent an entire afternoon testing his Phasing Charm. At last, he had gained a rough understanding of how its Phasing worked.

Unlike that guy who hid his tears in Kamui, Roy did not have a similar Kamui Dimension. The reason he could gain an ability resembling Phasing through this spell was that he distorted the space his body occupied, effectively shifting his body's actual location.

That also meant that if an opponent used a wide-area attack like Qilin against him, his Phasing Charm could still be broken by the large-scale attack.

It seemed he could not simply rely on this one spell to sweep through the entire Wizarding World with a single button. Still, even if it had not allowed Roy to develop a Wind Spirit Moon Shadow-level spell, the ability to make ordinary spells unable to strike him was enough for him to make most opponents cry in battle.

Roy could activate Phasing and Exoskeleton Overload, rush straight up to an opponent, slash them, then immediately activate Phasing and Exoskeleton Overload again and dash away. There was so much room for maneuvering there that just imagining it made the corners of Roy's mouth curl upward.
