Because of the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy, any act that exposed the existence of the Wizarding World to Muggles was an extremely serious crime. Today, Tiago and his group had lured several hundred Muggles afflicted by the Confundus Charm into the magical station. The resulting chaos was no less severe than what Grindelwald had stirred up in America back then.
After receiving the report, the Ministry of Magic immediately deployed a large force to seal off the entirety of King's Cross Station. At the same time, it notified the Muggle Prime Minister of Britain's political establishment and classified the entire incident as a leak of the highest severity.
Since there had been a suspected gas attack at the scene, the Aurors who arrived first could not determine whether this was a terrorist attack. As a result, they sealed all the children heading to school and the parents seeing them off inside the station.
Of course, with such a major incident, Dumbledore had certainly come as well, accompanied by all of Hogwarts' faculty. Their presence greatly calmed the fear of the many students and parents trapped inside the station by the Aurors.
With the Aurors, Hogwarts professors, and the London police who had received orders all working together, the overcrowded station was soon sealed off layer upon layer. All trains were canceled, and the start of term at Hogwarts was temporarily postponed.
The Muggles who had not come into contact with the wizarding world were quickly evacuated from the station by the London police who had arrived to assist. Only the Muggles who had mistakenly entered Platform Nine and Three-Quarters remained, waiting for Ministry officials to erase their memories. The entire Hogwarts faculty, students, and parents trapped in the station while awaiting the Ministry's review were not allowed to leave
