Gryffindor had won the championship, and Bill's retirement tour had genuinely inspired the Hogwarts students. Everywhere Roy went, he could see students loudly reciting Bill's retirement speech word for word.
"Man!!!!! Hahaha, and what can I say..."
The Hogwarts corridors were filled with cries of "man," especially in the Gryffindor common room. Anyone who didn't know better might have thought they were raising a herd of old cows in there.
However, the students' happiness lasted less than two days. The Quidditch Cup was over, May was approaching, and final exams were just around the corner.
Fifth-years like Tonks were constantly on the verge of exploding. They did not need to take final exams, but their O.W.L. results at the end of the term would determine which subjects they could choose in their sixth year, and those subjects would most likely determine their future careers.
Only by earning good or even Outstanding grades in the O.W.L. exams could they continue studying a subject at an advanced level. Of course, even if someone qualified for an advanced class, they could choose not to take it. Bill, for example, had earned twelve Outstandings and could have taken every advanced class in his sixth year. In the end, though, he only chose several core subjects and dropped everything else, including Ancient Runes.
Roy discovered that the wizarding world did not seem to have anything like university application consulting. That gave him an idea: he could open an organization like an application consulting company. He had even thought of a name—"Bee Studies the Past."
However, Roy quickly rejected the idea himself. He realized that most people did not have Bill's problem of choosing which classes to take. Most sixth-years would already be thanking their lucky stars if they qualified for advanced classes in five subjects.
