After dumping half a trunk of gold coins and half a trunk of unrelated documents all along Diagon Alley, Roy scattered the rest of the gold he had brought out of Gringotts along the banks of the Thames River.
The goblins riding their "new national standard" broomsticks were soon left far behind by the latest Nimbus 2000 beneath Roy. The money-obsessed goblins could only watch helplessly as Roy threw the ill-gotten gains he had taken from the vault into the black waters of the Thames River. Like impotent husbands, there was nothing they could do.
"If you want to do something, now's your chance! Goodbye, you greedy creatures."
Once Roy had finished tossing everything down from the sky before the goblins' eyes, he pushed the throttle all the way down. The Nimbus 2000 beneath him unleashed a powerful burst of speed. Flying flat out, Roy soon left bustling central London behind, cutting through the bitter wind and flurries of snow as he raced north.
After completely losing his goblin pursuers, Roy found a secluded, deserted spot to land. He burned the Nimbus 2000 Aisling had prepared in advance with Fiendfyre, then immediately used Apparition to return to his home in Godric's Hollow without anyone knowing.
With a whoosh, Roy appeared in his living room. Cedric, who had been slumped on the antique sofa, jolted awake at his sudden appearance and sprang to his feet. Once he realized it was Roy, however, he finally relaxed.
"Are you all right?"
"I'm fine. Nothing went wrong at the Ministry of Magic, did it?"
"No. Kingsley and the others made a lot of noise but did very little. In the end, they simply classified the whole incident as a prank and let everyone go."
"Good, good. By now, Dumbledore's probably made his move too.
