The Sky Screen appeared immediately after Ye Chen received his rewards from the Douluo Nine-Choose-Five System, including the shielding of Tang San’s perception of the Douluo Plane. Its arrival allowed people from separated historical eras to witness Ye Chen’s actions in real time 1.

Its broadcasts quickly became a cross-era public forum. Figures such as Yu Xiaogang, Tang San, Yun Ming, and Xu Xiaoyan could comment on the events being shown, though the system concealed their real identities from other users 1.

As Ye Chen’s broadcasts exposed Shrek Academy’s training methods, historical controversies, and links or alleged links to the Holy Spirit Cult, the Sky Screen’s coverage repeatedly triggered public outrage and political reactions in the Dragon King Era 8 9 12 20 21.

The broadcast’s relationship to established history became increasingly uncertain. Yun Ming and Qiangu Dongfeng ordered archival investigations into Ye Chen because his extraordinary abilities and ambitions did not match any known historical figure. Di Tian and Gu Yue subsequently confirmed that Ye Chen had not existed in the Unrivaled Tang Sect era they remembered. Gu Yue concluded that the Sky Screen was showing a changed or alternate past, while the Dragon King Era’s present and its records of Huo Yuhao remained unchanged 34 40.

The Sky Screen later expanded beyond public broadcasting and commentary.
