Sophia Falcone looked to be around thirty. White women's ages were always hard to pin down.
Some looked like adults but were actually only fourteen or fifteen.
Others looked very young but were already in their thirties or forties.
As an Italian American, Sophia had a striking nose, followed by a pair of bright, beautiful eyes filled with fury.
Her smooth black hair fell over her shoulders. She wore a black evening gown with a jacket casually draped over it.
She looked more like an aristocratic socialite than a mob boss.
Her gun seemed to be pointed casually at Li Ang.
Li Ang's body immediately tensed.
He did not want to make a move, but if he had no other choice, he could not keep hiding anymore.
If no one else had been around, Li Ang would have acted long ago.
But if he exposed his strength in front of everyone, countless troubles would be waiting for him.
Even Superman Clark did not dare reveal his true identity, let alone him.
Besides, Li Ang had a family to look after.
"Don't be nervous."
Sophia's voice turned magnetic and husky. "As long as you behave, I won't kill you."
Like hell I believe you.
Li Ang could only release the South African Woman and walk over.
"What's your name?"
"Li Ang."
"Li Ang? Good. Call your boss."
Li Ang took the phone Sophia handed him.
Naturally, he did not know Penguin's number, but he knew Frank's.
Frank was also one of Penguin's trusted men.
The call connected quickly.
"Who is this?"
"Frank, put Boss Cobblepot on the phone. Something happened."
Frank did not ask questions. He merely replied, "Wait."
Before long, Penguin's gloomy voice came through the phone. "I hate bad news most of all, Li Ang."
The moment Sophia heard Penguin's voice, she snatched the phone away.
"Unfortunately, Penguin, you need to hear this news."
Sophia Falcone spoke into the phone.
"Sophia!"
Penguin clearly knew her and sounded somewhat surprised.
"You bastard killed members of our Falcone Family and kidnapped my brother. How about returning the favor by blowing up your Iceberg Lounge?"
Sophia immediately said furiously.
The Iceberg Lounge was the place Penguin cared about most, and the achievement he was proudest of.
She had struck right at Penguin's weak spot.
Penguin on the other end fell silent for a long time before saying, "It's only an Iceberg Lounge. You don't think I care about that, do you?"
Though he said that, anyone could tell how he felt.
Penguin Cobblepot continued, "Besides, Sophia, you should thank me. I helped you get rid of your competition. From now on, the Falcone Family will be yours."
"That's right."
Sophia smiled, but her smile was cold. "I should thank you, you piece of trash. But I also need to give the family an explanation. I'll have your men buried with them, along with your lounge."
"Wait."
Penguin immediately said, "If that's the case, then I don't want to kill that idiot Alberto anymore. Once he learns his sister doesn't care about him, won't that make for a good show?"
Hearing those words, Li Ang keenly noticed the joy in Sophia's expression.
Clearly, she cared deeply about her brother, unlike what she claimed.
"What do you want?"
"What do you want, Sophia?"
Sophia fell silent.
She did not want to reveal her intentions, but Penguin seemed to have already guessed them.
If she did not care about her brother, how could she have acted so quickly?
Penguin had only just taken her brother away, and she had already retaliated against the Iceberg Lounge.
That had truly caught Penguin off guard.
However, Penguin had already won.
"Time's almost up, Sophia."
"What do you mean, Penguin?"
Sophia became somewhat flustered.
Then Penguin Cobblepot prompted, "If you don't understand, go outside and take a look."
Sophia immediately pushed through the crowd and motioned for Li Ang to follow her outside, her gun constantly aimed at him.
The moment they came outside, Sophia trembled.
A massive light had appeared in Gotham's dark sky at some point.
The light shone onto the clouds, revealing the image of a bat.
The Bat-Signal!
"Hahahahahaha!"
Penguin burst into laughter over the phone.
"Leave, now!"
Sophia immediately hung up, knowing she could not stay any longer.
Holding Li Ang hostage, she headed back inside.
But the moment she entered the lounge, chaos had already erupted within.
Boom!
Following several muffled explosions, the entire Iceberg Lounge was instantly filled with smoke.
"Ah!"
Crack!
Screams and the sound of bones breaking immediately rang out through the lounge.
Clearly, Batman had already made his move.
"Damn it!"
Sophia did not flee. Instead, she immediately rushed inside.
With smoke everywhere, she could not see anything clearly. She could only vaguely make out a dark figure darting through the haze.
Only Li Ang remained unaffected. His enhanced vision clearly caught Batman's agile figure.
Batman's suit was packed with high-tech gear: grappling hooks, a bat cape, projectors, and that whole array of equipment hanging from him...
What kind of rich second-generation kid could afford such high-end cosplay?
From top to bottom, it embodied three words.
Money talks.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Without another word, Sophia fired directly at the shadow.
"Everyone, retreat!"
She shouted as she fired.
Her men reacted, retreating outside while opening fire on Batman at the same time.
Batman dodged and weaved. Whenever he could not avoid the shots, he turned his back and used his cape to block the bullets.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
All the bullets bounced away, and then he set his sights on Sophia.
Like a humanoid bat, Batman lunged straight toward them.
Sophia, however, was hardly honorable. She ran outside and shouted, "Li Ang, stop him!"
Li Ang was not an idiot. He quickly stepped aside.
But Batman set his sights on him instead.
Seeing Li Ang in a uniform and suspecting he was a gangster, Batman showed no mercy. He only intended to take Li Ang down as quickly as possible before continuing the pursuit.
Faced with the attack, Li Ang naturally hurried to defend himself.
Batman was too ruthless, striking directly at his joints.
They said Batman never killed, but after ordinary people received his lessons, they would wish they were dead.
Bang!
Li Ang blocked Batman's attack, clearly surprising Batman, who then continued with a rapid barrage of strikes.
As the pinnacle of human martial arts, Batman was proficient in nearly every fighting technique in the world. His attacks were sharp and fluid.
No matter what movement he made, he could turn it into an attack, and he never paused.
Li Ang could only respond instinctively, relying on his speed.
No martial art could overcome sheer speed.
Even so, Batman hit him several times, though none of it hurt much.
