I Don't Want to See You Again

For wanderers, home was a safe harbor.

The same was true for the three who had gotten themselves into serious trouble.

Harley Quinn immediately brought Kara back, and though Poison Ivy Pamela wanted to leave, Harley made her stay.

What Harley did not know was that staying was even more terrifying for Poison Ivy.

After all, Poison Ivy Pamela had not said anything nice to Kara before. She was terrified of being "settled with."

When they got home, there really was no one there.

"What do we do now?"

Poison Ivy could not sit still.

"Wait for Li Ang to come back."

But he quickly and obediently lowered it again.

Because no one in Gotham was unfamiliar with that figure.

"What's going on?"

Frank swallowed hard.

He instantly remembered what Li Ang had said before.

There was one thing you should never say to Batman.

But before he could say it, his vision went black, and his whole head slammed into the steering wheel.

My hair?

That was Frank's last thought before passing out.

"What is it?"

The moment he saw Batman, Li Ang guessed that Batman already knew who had done it.

Otherwise, Batman would not have come to block their car like this.

Li Ang got out of the car. The two stood facing each other in the headlights, their shadows stretched endlessly long.

"You said you would give her a good environment, but she went out with Harley Quinn and sought revenge on the gangsters."

"Are you raising a hero or a villain?"

Batman spoke in a low voice.

There was a disappointed, reproachful look in his eyes.

He had agreed to let them stay in Gotham and had even tried his best to give Kara the best environment possible.

Yet this still happened.

"It will not happen again."

Li Ang said coldly.

After hearing Batman say that, he finally understood what had happened.

So it really was Harley Quinn!

Seeing Li Ang's expression, Batman, who had originally wanted to say more, gave up.

He had seen that expression before. When he made mistakes as a child, he had seen it on his father Thomas Wayne's face.

Of course, Thomas Wayne had never hit him. He had only taught him, letting him understand what was right and what was wrong.

Batman hoped Li Ang would do the same.

"What other abilities does she have?"

Batman changed the subject.

"This is an ability she only recently developed. It should have been tested in an uninhabited area first, then brought under control gradually."

Li Ang was somewhat helpless as he said this.

Batman also understood why.

"Nothing. Batman mistook you for Boss Cobblepot."

Frank was speechless. Was Batman really that careless?

"Drive already!"

Li Ang urged him.

"Oh."

Downstairs from the apartment building, Li Ang looked up. There were no lights on.

But he knew they were at home.

So he headed upstairs directly.

When he opened the door, he saw several people in the living room. Kara sat on the sofa, while Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy looked completely at a loss.

"I... I love you. Please don't abandon me, okay? I'll never take Kara out to play again. I'll do anything you want."

Harley Quinn pleaded pitifully with Li Ang.

Those words came from the bottom of her heart, and Li Ang could feel her sincerity.

But then Kara spoke. "Godfather, it's not her fault."

Li Ang pulled Kara into his arms. Feeling safe at last, Kara finally could not hold herself together anymore.

She burst into loud sobs in Li Ang's embrace.
