In the lounge, Gardevoir sat quietly on the sofa, her red eyes half-closed as her Psychic Field remained steady and gentle.
Eevee crouched beside her, her large brown eyes fixed unblinkingly on the door. Her fluffy tail swayed lightly behind her, and she looked adorably impatient from waiting.
At the sound of the door opening, Eevee immediately jumped down from the sofa. Her four tiny paws landed on the carpet without making much sound.
"Eevee!" She scampered over to Xinhai's feet, tilting up her little head, her large brown eyes full of anticipation and anxiety. "Eevee, Eevee!" (Why did you take so long to come back, Xinhai? I've been waiting forever!)
Xinhai smiled and crouched down, reaching out to rub her little head. His fingers passed through her fluffy, soft brown fur before gently scratching behind her ears.
"I went to collect the prize, so I was delayed for a while."
"Eevee?" Eevee tilted her head, blinking her brown eyes. "Eevee?" (A prize? What prize did you pick, Xinhai?)
Xinhai smiled and took the box from his backpack, opening it for Eevee to see.
A jade-green glow seeped through the gap, carrying a gentle energy filled with the scent of grass and trees.
Eevee sniffed hard with her little nose, and her brown eyes instantly lit up. Her fluffy tail swished happily behind her.
"Eevee, Eevee!" (What a beautiful Leaf Stone! The Grass type energy is so rich!)
Gardevoir looked toward the box in Xinhai's hand, the corners of her lips curving slightly into a gentle smile.
"Gardevoir." (Congratulations, Xinhai.)
"Thanks." Xinhai put the box away and stood up with Eevee in his arms. "Come on, we should head back to the room too."
Gardevoir nodded, rose to her feet, and walked to Xinhai's side as they left the lounge
