At the thought, the anger rising inside Eldin quickly subsided.

"Hmph."

She pursed her lips, tilted her head slightly, and raised a lace-gloved hand to smooth the bangs beside her face.

Faced with Evan's almost adorable gesture and rapid-fire flattery, Eldin cleared her throat. The praise had stirred her pride and vanity, and both now filled her heart.

"Since you've shown some manners, I'll open your eyes today."
