Background

Evan transmigrates into the body of an eighteen-year-old living in extreme poverty in Bolton City. His new body is afflicted with syphilis, pneumonia, severe anemia, liver damage, digestive ulcers, and brain nerve damage; his father, Anta, is deceased. 2 10

He survives by attending Sage University, participating in poverty-assistance drug trials, and taking hazardous medicines supplied by Professor Pulis. The Power of the Nine Dragons lets him reverse the medicines’ side effects, turning exploitation intended to destroy impoverished students into a means of recovery and advancement. 4 8 12
