Once they appeared, they let out a constant stream of piercing shrieks.

The Holy Temple guard spoke again: "Feed on my blood, and you are of my kind!"

"Feed on my flesh, and you are my disciple!"

"These are Bloodthirsty Spirit Worms."

"Born of our great master's flesh and blood, they possess supreme power."

"You have passed the Blood Trial. Now you must face the Flesh and Spirit Trial."

"Swallow a Bloodthirsty Spirit Worm. If it accepts you, or if you subdue it, you will gain our great master's protection."

"If you cannot subdue it, it will drain your blood and soul and take over your body."

At the Holy Temple guard's words, Chuck and the others found themselves in a dilemma.

They had investigated the area from several angles and gained a basic understanding of it.

But they knew little about the details.

They had intended to capture Eldin, extract the information from her memories, and prepare thoroughly.

They had not expected a freak like Evan to show up in the middle of it all!

His overwhelming combat strength had wrecked much of their planning.

Behind them, Evan's eyes lit up at the sight of the strange creatures. He turned to Eldin.

Eldin asked tentatively, "Can you handle it?"

"I have a way to deal with this thing."

Evan grinned. "Of course I do!"

So while the four of them remained silent, Evan and Eldin strode up to the large red Crystal basin.
