Journey to Fish-Man Island

The Eternal Truth continued to sink.

Other than Yake using Conqueror's Haki to intimidate a few Sea Kings that wanted to attack the ship, nothing else happened.

As they neared Fish-Man Island, Yake controlled magnetism and charged straight into it in one go. Everyone arrived safely.

"So this is Fish-Man Island? It's amazing. It's hard to imagine there's a place like this beneath the sea." It was Reiju's first time visiting Fish-Man Island, and its beautiful scenery immediately left her stunned.

After Queen Otohime was assassinated by Hody Jones, along with the slave-catching crews among humans and Hody Jones's secret incitement, relations with humans had become extremely tense. However, Yake had come to Fish-Man Island for only one reason: the Poneglyphs.

After Yake docked the ship, the five of them openly walked through the streets, naturally drawing plenty of pointing and whispering from Fish-Man Island's residents.

"Yake-sama, these residents don't seem very friendly toward us, meow!" As a member of the Mink Tribe, Anna's senses were exceptionally sharp, and she noticed the tense atmosphere around them.

"It's all right, Anna. The captain is here. No one can hurt us." Robin patted Anna's head reassuringly.

"That's right. Our goal is the Poneglyphs. Don't start any pointless fights," Yake said flatly.

"Stop, humans! State your purpose!" Two Fish-Man soldiers blocked Yake and the others' path.

"I'm Yake. I intend to claim King Neptune's bounty and deal with Vander Decken IX. Take us to see Neptune." Yake had noticed the bounty notices posted along the streets. They were for Vander Decken IX, the Target-Target Fruit user who harassed Princess Shirahoshi every day.

"Wait, look at that face! Hurry and report to King Neptune!" One of the Fish-Man soldiers recognized Yake. The people of Fish-Man Island actually held a favorable impression of him, because Yake's killing of Celestial Dragons had made them afraid to appear casually. This had indirectly dealt a blow to the slave-catching crews, and there had recently been far fewer reports of missing Merfolk.

"Lord Yake, please wait a moment. We'll notify King Neptune right away." The Fish-Man soldiers respectfully lowered their heads. The man before them was not someone they could afford to provoke.

"Since when did Fish-Men have to bow and scrape before lowly humans? You are simply the shame of Fish-Men!" Hody Jones swaggered over with a group of lackeys.

"Damn it, Hody Jones! You actually dare show yourself here! Our army will arrive soon, so don't get too arrogant!" a Fish-Man soldier accused.

"Tch, those useless fools. Humans! Join us, or die!" Hody Jones disdainfully slapped the Fish-Man soldier away, then turned to Yake and the others.

"Robin, Reiju, leave them to you." Pirates like these were beneath him.

"Leave it to us, Captain!" x2

Robin was eager to try. Yake had always been teaching her how to develop her Fruit ability, and she was very strong now. As for Reiju, there was no need to say more. She had undergone Lineage Factor modification, possessed a powerful physique, and had the boost of her raid suit. Dealing with someone with a bounty of barely over ten million was easy.

"Cien Fleur: Spider Web!"

Robin crossed her hands, and countless arms sprouted forth, trapping Hody Jones and his group firmly in midair like a spiderweb.

"Pink Poison Arrow!" A great number of arrow-shaped poison streams sprayed from the wings of Reiju's raid suit, attacking the enemies.

Just as the poison arrows were about to strike, Robin's arms instantly vanished, leaving behind a field of flower petals so that she would not accidentally harm her allies.

Hody Jones and the others wailed in agony on the ground. Reiju's poison was not to be underestimated.

"Damn women, I'll kill you!" Hody Jones glared viciously at Robin and Reiju, realizing at the same time that these people would not be easy to deal with.

"Quick, use that thing! You idiots!" Hody Jones grabbed a handful of white pills and swallowed them. His aura instantly surged, his eyes turned blood-red, and the madness in his mind temporarily suppressed the poison's effects.

"Looks like my ghosts are still invincible! Horohorohoro~" Perona covered her mouth and laughed smugly. Other than that monster of a captain, no one could resist her ghosts.

Yake: Pepe, you're thinking too highly of yourself. Anyone who knows Armament Haki can block your ghosts.

"Damn it, what did you do to us?! You damned woman!" Hody Jones, the first to regain his senses, flew into a rage and charged directly at Perona. From the look of it, he wanted to tear her to pieces.

"Ah, Captain, save me! This is terrifying!!" Perona hurriedly hid behind Yake.

"I've been far too lenient with you." Yake shook his head helplessly.

"Damn human, die!!"

"Pop!"

Hody Jones was blasted away by a powerful repulsive force.

"Planetary Devastation!"

Yake created a point of intense magnetism centered on Hody Jones. Countless pieces of metal were drawn in by the powerful magnetic force and viciously pierced Hody Jones's body.

"You can join him too!"

Thus, Hody Jones's lackeys were also flung onto Hody Jones. Covered in metal, they became a massive iron ball.

"Boom!"

The iron ball flew into the sky and exploded with a thunderous blast, turning into a rain of blood. The metal remained suspended in the air, and Yake slowly guided it down to avoid causing widespread damage.

"All right, can you take us to see King Neptune now?" Yake turned and asked.

"N-no problem, Lord Yake. Please follow me!"

Yake and the others rode a giant flying fish to Ryugu Palace. As for Hody Jones, he had already become nourishment for the earth, forgotten by all.

"Thank you for killing Hody Jones, that disgrace among Fish-Men. On behalf of all the people of Fish-Man Island, I offer you my gratitude!"

After learning the full story, Neptune expressed his deep gratitude to Yake. Although Yake was already two meters and fifteen centimeters tall, he still looked small before Neptune.

"You're welcome, King Neptune. I merely did what I should have done. My main reason for coming to Fish-Man Island is the Poneglyphs. I hope King Neptune will grant my request," Yake stated his purpose.

"Oh, that's no problem. After enjoying a lavish banquet, I will take you to see the Poneglyphs," Neptune invited him.

"All right, King Neptune. Then I'll gladly accept." Yake smiled.

"Report, Your Majesty! Vander Decken IX has started harassing Princess Shirahoshi again!"

"What? That damned pervert!"

"King Neptune, since I'm already here, I might as well help you deal with Vander Decken." Yake stood up.

"Then I'll have to trouble you, Mr. Yake. Princess Shirahoshi is over there. Follow me!" Neptune said gratefully.
