New God of Skypiea

Led by Conis, Yake and his crew toured Angel Island.

The town was now filled with a joyful atmosphere, and the bars were packed. Of course, some people were worried. Former God Gan Fall had announced that a new god would soon arrive, but who knew what kind of person the new god would be?

What they did not know was that the new god and his priests had just passed right by them.

"Lord Yake, this place is so much fun! I want to stay here forever, whew~" Anna happily played with a Jet Dial.

"Whatever you do, don't play with a Flame Dial, little Anna. It'll burn your fur!" Reiju reminded her. The lively and adorable Anna had clearly become everyone's darling.

"Just be careful, Anna. I'm hungry. Go make us a whole table of Skypiean dishes!" Yake rubbed his growling stomach. He had been getting hungry easily lately.

"Okay, Lord Yake, leave it to me! I'll make it super delicious, meow!" Anna agreed confidently. She might not be much help in a fight, but when it came to cooking, she utterly outclassed everyone on the ship.

After Yake and the others enjoyed a lavish dinner at Conis's home, they returned to the ship to rest. Tomorrow, they would unveil Skypiea's new chapter.

Skypiea, Angel Island.

The streets were packed with people. Gan Fall had done his work thoroughly, and practically every resident of Skypiea had learned that the new god was about to arrive.

"Look, it's the Shandians!"

A group of people dressed completely differently from Angel Island's residents landed on Angel Island. Under normal circumstances, that might have meant war.

At their head was the Shandian chief, followed by Shandian warriors. All of them wore friendly smiles. Their ancestors' wish had been fulfilled; all that remained was their own wish to return to Upper Yard.

Whether they were Skypiean residents or Shandians, their destination was the same: Angel Square.

Gan Fall looked at the dense crowd below the platform and let out a breath of relief. After being god for so long, he still had some prestige. Otherwise, this would have gone terribly wrong.

"Hello, everyone. I am Gan Fall, Skypiea's former god. The new god is about to arrive, so please remain quiet. No matter what happens, do not panic," Gan Fall announced loudly. The crowd soon fell silent, their eyes filled with anticipation.

But then, screams quickly rose one after another without end.

"Monster! That monster from yesterday!" "Aaaahhh!!"

"Silence! That is Skypiea's new god! Everyone, be quiet!"

Yake transformed into his Dragon form and soared through the sky. This was exactly the effect he wanted. His Azure Dragon form was massive, ferocious in appearance, and full of intimidation. His entrance was spectacular, and it could conveniently deter those with ulterior motives.

"Fleur de Bloom: Phantom Wings"

Robin formed wings from manifested arms and slowly descended while holding Anna. Perona could fly on her own, so there was no need to worry about her. Reiju's combat suit also had flight capabilities.

The four women landed steadily and stood in an even row, leaving the center empty. From left to right were Perona, Reiju, Robin, and Anna, with Gan Fall standing in a corner with virtually no presence at all.

Yake roared and shot straight into the sky. Once he reached a great height, he plunged toward the ground like a meteor, seeming as though he would crash directly into Angel Island. Just before impact, the giant Dragon vanished like a bubble. Yake landed on one knee in a superhero pose, lightning crackling around him as he exuded overwhelming dominance.

Yake straightened up, positioned right between Robin and Reiju. He had truly mastered flashy entrances.

Getting back to business, Yake swept his gaze across the crowd below and released the aura of Conqueror's Haki, though without its knocking-out effect. There would be no point if everyone fainted.

To Skypiea's residents, Yake now seemed like a beast ready to devour people, radiating a terrifying presence.

"Th-that's the man who was sightseeing in town yesterday! I-I saw him!!"

"He's the new god? That's terrifying..."

Yake slowly walked to the front of the platform, and the residents instantly fell silent.

"I am Yake, Skypiea's new god."

"I know you still have many doubts, but none of that matters. From this moment on, Skypiea is my territory, and all of you will become my subjects."

Yake's voice rang in everyone's ears like striking gold and stone. He was not speaking loudly, but through electromagnetic wave simulation, every resident could hear him clearly.

"First, I hereby announce that Skypiea's war is over!"

As he spoke, Yake took out the enormous Golden Bell and controlled it to float in the air.

"It's the Golden Bell! There's no way I'm mistaken!" The Shandians stared fixedly at the Golden Bell in the sky.

"Skypiea will officially be renamed—the Divine Kingdom of the Sky. I am the Divine Kingdom of the Sky's one and only god."

"Let me introduce you. These are the priests of the Divine Kingdom of the Sky."

"Priest of Law—Robin."

"Priest of Punishment—Reiju."

"Priest of Ghosts—Perona."

"Priest of Harvest—Anna."

"Proxy—Gan Fall."

"I will govern the Divine Kingdom of the Sky together with them. Next, Priest of Law Robin will explain the laws of the Divine Kingdom of the Sky."

After saying so much, Yake finally paused for breath. Governing a country was no easy task. Robin had not slept all night in order to draft the laws, and she had only completed the basic general provisions. Detailed rules would still need to be added later.

There was no other choice. They were short on manpower, so the Ark Pirates had to fill the positions for now. Talented people were hard to come by.

As Robin explained the laws, Yake observed the residents' expressions. The results looked good. Though strength was the only true standard on these seas, the laws Robin had drafted did not seem overly harsh to Yake. The severe punishments mainly concerned private fighting and similar matters. There were still many loopholes, but Rome was not built in a day. The laws could be gradually improved.

After Robin finished, Reiju continued by explaining some of the policies Yake had established.

The main point was the formation of a national guard. Yake planned to select powerful soldiers to form the guard. Once Judge arrived, they could begin researching various high-tech weapons to arm the nation, which would also make up for their current lack of top-tier combat power.

"Lastly, I want to say that in the near future, I will open the Divine Kingdom of the Sky and establish routes of exchange with the Blue Sea. Get yourselves ready! Proxy Gan Fall will tell you the specific details. You may all disperse."

After spending nearly the entire morning on this, Yake was somewhat exhausted. He would rather fight for three days and three nights than do this sort of thing again. He would leave all the troublesome matters to Gan Fall. The residents also needed time to adapt.

That afternoon, he still had to speak with the Shandian chief about Upper Yard. Ruling a country really is difficult. It'll be fine once everything gets on track, Yake consoled himself.
