History
Conflict with Dawn
The feud began as Dawn expanded through the West Blue Underworld and absorbed connections valuable to the Charlotte Family. Oven moved against him, but his defeat left him determined to seek revenge 85 312. After Dawn entered the New World, Oven sent the affiliated Powder Pirates to attack one of his arms factories 312.
The conflict escalated when four major Underworld operators transferred their allegiance from Linlin to Dawn. Linlin dispatched Cracker, Snack, and Oven to confront him; Daifuku joined the expedition 320 321. Dawn destroyed their ten-warship fleet with a tsunami and used the surviving brothers as combat opponents for four of his allies. Baby 5’s Devil Fruit awakening defeated Cracker, but Dawn let the brothers leave 322 323 330. Linlin punished the returning men by taking portions of their lifespans and removing Snack from his commander position 334.
Linlin later fought Dawn for three days and nights. He subdued her by suppressing her Soul-Soul Fruit, then spared her because he lacked the personnel to govern Totto Land and considered her continued rule a deterrent against the World Government 343 345.
Fall of Totto Land
The family’s later attempts at revenge failed: Oven, Daifuku, and Baron Tamago were captured on Winner Island, while a force led by Katakuri and Cracker was repelled 412 420 421. Linlin then captured Lucci to lure Dawn to Totto Land 439.
Dawn opened his assault with meteors followed by a vast lightning-and-fire bombardment, devastating Whole Cake Island and most of the assembled fleet and troops 440. His allies killed the remaining principal fighters, including Perospero, Snack, and Smoothie. Dawn killed Linlin and then Katakuri, ending the family’s dominance; Brûlée and Mont-d’Or were taken alive 444 445 446 447.
