Adams seemed not to notice Hancock's resentful little glare at all. He walked straight over to Robin, placed the two fruits on the table, and asked with an expression of "eagerness to learn" on his face:
"Robin, you're so knowledgeable. Do you recognize the names of these two fruits?"
In truth, he knew their names better than anyone. Asking was merely a little bit of deliberate fun on his part. He had plenty of time to browse Devil Fruit encyclopedias, but he had never done so.
In his view, deliberately appearing a little "incompetent" in areas his women excelled at was an effective way to nurture affection. Giving them opportunities to show their worth and watching the faintly proud delight on their faces when they could help him was a pleasure in itself.
Unaware of her captain's "sinister intentions," Robin set down her utensils. She elegantly picked up the two fruits and examined them carefully for a moment before answering in her intellectual, charming voice:
"If I remember the Devil Fruit encyclopedia correctly, this one should be the Paramecia Whisper-Whisper Fruit.
That one is the Paramecia Sickle-Sickle Fruit."
She had accurately identified the fruits, and a faint, nearly imperceptible sense of satisfaction flashed through her eyes.
"The Whisper-Whisper Fruit and the Sickle-Sickle Fruit... Not bad abilities."
Having received confirmation, Adams nodded in satisfaction and put the two fruits away.
"All right, just a little interruption. Everyone, continue eating."
To prepare for what came next, Adams planned to replenish his energy properly.
Based on what he knew of Lucci, once that guy returned, he would definitely find some excuse to challenge him again.
And this time, Adams intended to give that outrageously stubborn bastard a lesson he would never forget and thoroughly cure him of his refusal to admit defeat.
