Background / History

Before entering Ragnarok, Heiniu was a shut-in with no combat experience who worked an ordinary job. His in-game battles nonetheless began influencing his real-world body: during a boxing spar, he instinctively displayed techniques beyond those of a former professional boxer. 346

He became one of the early Players summoned by Lin Chao’s Administrator system. Beginning as a level 1 Commoner, he embraced the assassin route and quickly became a leading combatant among the Players. He later helped introduce new Players to the game world and explained the Administrator’s authority to them. 341 343

He regards the inhabitants of Ragnarok as real people rather than disposable NPCs. Norma’s death fundamentally changes him: he becomes willing to hunt Divine Creatures, enter the Abyss, and seek godhood for even a chance to restore her. 347 353 422

Early Player and Assassin

Heiniu quickly established himself as an assassin among the first Players, earning money through monster hunting and assisting the Administrator’s expansion on Ironstone Mountain. He demonstrated his professional speed to newly arrived Players and took part in bandit operations. 343 345

Relationship with Norma

Heiniu repeatedly visited Xiao Meng by a stream, gave her his guard wages, and worried about her safety during the approaching Abyss invasion. When a demon swallowed him while he protected her, he killed it from within; Norma believed he had died until he returned and embraced him. 347

Abyss Invasion and Norma’s Death

Heiniu killed thirteen demons during the Abyss invasion, earning the greatest contribution reward and the finishing blow on a Legendary Succubus. The resulting experience surge elevated him to level 13. 352

After Jin Jun attacked Norma and she died, Heiniu sought Lin Chao’s help. Learning that Norma’s soul likely fell into the Abyss, he made becoming a deity his central goal. 353

Royal City Assassination

Serving Lin Chao in the royal city, Heiniu offered to eliminate the Third Prince. He later ambushed the prince’s carriage and used Self-Sacrifice for Righteousness to kill the Third Prince and his high-level guards. 367 371

Heiniu left Koya City to hunt Divine Creatures, gathering Divine Power and fragments of Divine Positions. He later ventured into the Abyss itself in search of Norma, but returned without finding her. 383 422
