Overview

The Pill Tower is one of the Central Plains’ dominant powers, recognized as the “One Tower” in the regional designation of One Hall, One Tower, Two Sects, Three Valleys, and Four Pavilions. It gathers exceptional alchemists from across the continent and derives much of its strength from its extensive network of relationships, resources, and hidden experts 3.

Though not an Ancient Emperor Clan, its top-tier combat power, connections, and alchemical resources are described as comparable to those of the Ancient Eight Clans. Its influence in alchemy is stated to be only slightly below that of the Yao Clan 3.

Territory and Facilities

Pill Saint City

Pill Saint City is the Pill Tower’s vast alchemical metropolis in the Central Plains.

• Built from Ten-Thousand-Year Mystic Jade and stretches for hundreds of miles 3.

Pill Territory

Pill Territory is the Pill Tower’s independent space and the location of its central institutions.

History

Qing Luo selected the Pill Tower as his first prospective ally after escaping the Demon Flame Space, judging its strength, resources, and influence sufficient to rival an Emperor Clan 2 3.

His arrival immediately became hostile after he refused to pay Pill Saint City’s wormhole fee and was denied an audience with the Three Giants. Qing Luo destroyed the guard Zhou Mu’s cultivation and soul, then threatened Pill Territory with the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame 3. The Three Giants eventually met him, settled his unpaid fee, and learned that he sought cooperation with the Pill Tower Ancestor over the fate of the Central Plains and the path to Emperorhood 4.

Relations deteriorated when Qing Luo attempted to seize the Three Thousand Burning Flame from the Star Region. His intrusion drew out Old Monster Lin, whose attempt to seize and refine Qing Luo transformed a failed negotiation into open conflict 6 7. Their battle wrecked the Star Region and destroyed three levels of the main tower; Qing Luo later returned, killed Old Monster Lin, and clashed with Nihility Devouring Flame in Pill Territory 8 10 11.

Qing Luo’s self-destruction against Nihility Devouring Flame devastated most of Pill Territory but deliberately directed its primary force away from the Pill Tower. Mu Tong preserved the survivors, sealed the territory for repairs, and recovered the Three Thousand Burning Flame’s origin 12 13.

After receiving Qing Luo’s secret message, Mu Tong met him at the Demon Flame Plains. Qing Luo persuaded him that the Hall of Souls and Soul Clan would eventually threaten the Pill Tower, while the Dou Di Cave Mansion offered a chance at Emperorhood. Mu Tong accepted a trial partnership, and the pair founded the Emperor Alliance 14 15 16.

Emperor Alliance

The Pill Tower became the Emperor Alliance’s first institutional foundation after Mu Tong agreed to cooperate with Qing Luo 16.
