After a grueling forty-ninth victory against a level-55 Soul King, he encounters Zhu Zhuqing and learns how her family’s succession arrangements constrain her. He and Xiao Feiyu visit the Zhu family and compel the Spirit Cat Duke to prevent further mistreatment 35 36.

Lu Shiyuan then raises his left arm bone to 100,000 years and defeats the level-57 Chen Xuan in one move to complete the mission. Zhu Zhuqing declines his offer to leave with him because she does not want another daughter to inherit her dangerous engagement, but he promises to help whenever she is ready. He subsequently absorbs a roughly 12,000-year third Soul Ring, reaches level 36, and gains Dragon Eye Gaze 37 38 39.

Four-Year Training and Journey to Suotuo City

Over the following four years, Lu Shiyuan advances to level 50 and obtains a 40,000-year fourth Soul Ring. He devotes much of his energy to strengthening the Time Ruins Right Leg Bone, eventually raising it to 100,000 years and activating the Cosmic Star Dome two-piece set 40.

He and Xiao Wu travel to Suotuo City without their protectors openly accompanying them. Their combined strength allows them to survive powerful enemies on the road, including Evil Soul Masters led by a Soul Emperor. Xiao Feiyu later reveals that the protectors followed from a distance and destroyed the enemies’ stronghold after the pair moved on 40 46.

In Suotuo City, Lu Shiyuan reunites with Zhu Zhuqing after four years of correspondence. Dai Mubai’s hostile reaction brings her rejected engagement into open conflict. Lu Shiyuan and his companions buy and renovate a villa near Shrek Academy before he, Xiao Wu, and Zhu Zhuqing register 42 46.

Shrek Entrance and Fifth Soul Ring

During the entrance assessment, Lu Shiyuan challenges Zhao Wuji and tests his accumulated skills against a Soul Saint. He uses invulnerability, time manipulation, spatial traps, teleportation, and Star-Shattering Fist, but Zhao Wuji’s Martial Soul Avatar and Gravity Compression force him into a dangerous direct clash. Ning Rongrong intervenes with support enhancements, helping him resist the stronger opponent 51 52 53.

Yun Qingluo heals him afterward, and he confirms that he has obtained his fifth Soul Ring. Seven days of absorption produce a ring slightly older than 70,000 years, the control skill Time-Void Binding, and advancement to level 52 57 58. He conceals the ring’s actual age from Flender, claiming it is 30,000 years old 59.

Star Dou Forest Expedition

Lu Shiyuan joins the Shrek expedition to the Star Dou Forest, arranging for Ye Youying to accompany him and intending to take Xiao Wu home to visit Da Ming and Er Ming 66 67. Along the way, he confronts Ma Hongjun and Dai Mubai over their treatment of his companions and refuses to endorse bullying weaker travelers 71 72.

He subdues a Bloodblade Mantis using Time-Void Binding and his Soul Bone skills, then lets Zhu Zhuqing deliver the finishing blow and absorb its ring. Leaving Ye Youying and Ning Rongrong to guard her, he takes Xiao Wu to the forest’s core region 77 78.

There, he absorbs the 100,000-year Doomsday Dragon Wings external Soul Bone and reaches level 55. The bone grants flight approaching Super Douluo speed and Space-Time Fold, substantially improving his escape and pursuit capabilities 79.

Meng Family Dispute and Dugu Yan Reunion

After returning to the others, Lu Shiyuan accepts Zhao Wuji’s request to mediate a Soul Beast dispute with Snake Granny and Meng Yiran. He acknowledges their prior claim and proposes compensation rather than escalating the conflict 81.

He subsequently reunites with Dugu Bo, whose intervention has placed Meng Shu at a disadvantage. Dugu Bo abandons further pursuit because Lu Shiyuan owes the Meng family a favor. Lu Shiyuan also reunites affectionately with Dugu Yan, whom he has not seen in two years 83 84.

When Tang San attempts to obtain the Man Faced Demon Spider sought for Meng Yiran, Lu Shiyuan supports her claim. He has Dugu Bo force the spider to maintain its avatar state until its cultivation falls enough for her to absorb its ring, then restrains Tang San while she delivers the finishing blow 87.

Meng Yiran’s successful absorption earns the Meng family’s gratitude and promise of future assistance. Before leaving Dugu Yan, Lu Shiyuan promises to visit her in Heaven Dou City within six months 89.

Return to the Manor

After the expedition, Lu Shiyuan punishes Ma Hongjun for insulting Xiao Wu with a single severe punch, while giving Zhao Wuji money to arrange treatment. He returns to the manor and tells Xiao Feiyu about his external Soul Bone and Ning Rongrong’s having earned his approval 91.

Reunited with Xiao Feiyu and Yun Qingluo, he relaxes in the familiar household. Yun Qingluo’s care and the company of those closest to him reinforce the manor as his home 92.
