Lu Shiyuan arrived on the Douluo Continent through an “Otherworld Login Device,” retaining memories from another world. He became the only son of Lu Hao, a level-45 assault-type Soul Ancestor with the Ancient Ding Saber, and Chen Yun, a level-39 healing-type Soul Elder with the White Crane Lotus 1 2.

When he was four, Lu Hao and Chen Yun were reportedly killed during a commission. Their substantial inheritance and the kindness they had shown Notting City’s residents allowed Lu Shiyuan to live securely despite being raised alone; he learned to cook and manage daily life for himself 1 8. He meets the newly transformed Xiao Wu, defeats her with time-space control, and agrees to bring her into the human world after learning of her wish to revive her mother and avenge her enemies 4 6.

Nuoding Academy Conflict

Lu Shiyuan enrolls at Nuoding Academy with Xiao Wu as his adopted sister. He prevents Tang San from killing the gatekeeper, humiliates Yu Xiaogang’s claims to expertise, survives Tang San’s Sleeve Arrow sneak attack, and beats Tang San unconscious in the ensuing fight 9 10 12 14.

Tang Hao’s Intervention

Anticipating retaliation after Tang San’s defeat, Lu Shiyuan helps draw out Tang Hao. Xiao Feiyu reveals that her departure was a trap, defeats Tang Hao in under ten minutes, and leaves him severely injured after he escapes through Ring Detonation 15 16.

Sunset Forest and Second Soul Ring

After reaching level 20, Lu Shiyuan receives a mission to defeat a Soul Beast older than 3,000 years alone. He defeats but spares a 3,000-year Nether Wolf, then successfully absorbs a 6,000-year second Soul Ring and reaches level 24 20 22 23.

Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well

Lu Shiyuan uses Dugu Bo’s desperation over his family’s inherited poison to gain access to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.
