Acquisition and Absorption
Standard acquisition
Soul Masters ordinarily need to kill Soul Beasts to obtain Soul Rings and continue breaking through their ranks. This conflict makes transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beasts especially vulnerable, as they may provide both a Soul Ring and a guaranteed Soul Bone upon death 5.
- A Soul Ring’s absorbable age depends on the user’s physique, Martial Soul quality, and accumulated Soul Power rather than a fixed universal limit 3.
- Cultivation before receiving a Soul Ring is still meaningful: accumulated Soul Power remains stored in the body and can produce a large increase once a ring is absorbed 2 4.
- Once absorption begins, outside interference cannot safely stop the process 11.
- Thousand-Year Soul Rings are purple, while Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Rings are blood-red 11 23.
System-issued Soul Rings
Lu Shiyuan’s system bypasses Soul Beast hunting for his own Soul Rings. It issues missions, then provides rings of an age and Soul Skill suited to his capabilities after completion 2 3 10.

Concealment
Lu Shiyuan uses a dragon-head necklace left by Xiao Feiyu to conceal his aura and disguise his Soul Rings. This prevents the abnormality of his purple first Soul Ring from drawing attention before he can protect himself 11.
Xiao Wu wears a separate carrot pendant necklace that conceals her Soul Beast aura. Removing it would expose her transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast identity 7.
